The Douchey Shirt
« on: 18 Nov 2009, 07:51 »

The Mustache Ride shirt is quite douchey...What's the douchiest shirt anyone else has ever seen? Personally, I think that any shirt that says something implying that 'I'm the bestester!' or that gives the impression of being a desperate 42 year old virgin with a god complex (IE the Mustache Ride shirt) is douchey as it comes...

At least half the shirts at T-Shirt Hell.

I'm thinking of getting my aunt  this one for Christmas. She's obnoxious enough to wear it and she's always going on about only wanting "big" guys.

I just got the image of a midwife and a woman giving birth swinging towards each other on a trapeze - when they meet, the midwife pulls the baby out. The knife juggler is standing on the floor and cuts the umbilical cord with a a knifethrow.

Yes, and some of them are pretty funny.

And some are both.

Not enough, though.

Yes.  Yes, you will.  Very true.  Personal taste, and all.

There were a couple that made me laugh, though.

Perhaps I'm more easily amused?  I don't know if that says more about me, or about you...

All blowing and booze related shirts.

'I like the pope. the pop smokes dope.'
'Why walk and talk when you can smoke and fly.'
'Stoned again' in hazy letters.

Why a beer is better than a woman is terrible too.

Fucking awful.

I find some of them amusing, in a that's-so-wrong kind of way, but think only a real jackass would wear some of those in public. There are offensive ones and some that are just dumb, but I really like the band geek hero shirts. Buying my cousin the Accordion Hero shirt, 'cause his parents used to make him take accordion lessons as a child and, even though he plays bass in a rock band now, he's geeky enough to find it funny.

I also like the Voted "Most Likely to Travel Back in Time" Class of 2057, but I'm kind of a sci-fi geek, so .... *shrug*

And Alex gets the "judgmental" award for Thursday.

Many of them are pointlessly offensive.

Many of them are humorously offensive.

Many of them are excessively juvenile.

Some of them are funny.

Wow, just wow. Anybody who would go around wearing one of those shirts is somebody I would most definitely be avoiding.

And Alex gets the "good taste" award for Thursday.

All of them are pointlessly offensive.

None of them are humorously offensive.

All of them are excessively juvenile

While i'm at it, FYP.

Basically, me and T-Shirt Hell agree on one thing, and one thing only: In Amurka, it's OK to talk some shit about things you stridently disagree with, so long as you also accept that nobody has to pretend like you for it.
