This particular Yank had a tuna steak sandwich. No turkey at my house ):

To get back on topic, I'm looking forward to Cosette's explanation and am thinking car accident or attack by Vespa.

Oh it has to be something more interesting than car accident, I'm thinking stampeded by rioting New Moon fans.

I can see it now: she was standing outside the theater with a sign that read "You can't like Harry Potter and Twilight, vampires and wizards are mutually exclusive!"

Funny you say that, I was thinking of the one that Penelope and Wil saw in the park. Maybe it wanted more than a PB sandwich this time?

I bet there are a lot who do like both.  More likely she was advocating for Mercy Thompson.

I just read http://chud.com/articles/articles/21684/1/THE-DEVIN039S-ADVOCATE-WHY-BREAKING-DAWN-MUST-BE-MADE-INTO-A-MOVIE/Page1.html and am very very glad I didn't read more than the bit of the series that I did.

If Steve and Cosette do end up dating, he's going to need to develop cat like reflexes so he can avoid the inevitable swipes she will take with her crutches, and to catch her when she immediately loses her balance.

If they ever hook up, they are going to have to start switching off hospitals lest this happen:
Steve: "Yes doc, she fell down the stairs again."
Doctor: "..."
S: "I Know! I've never met anyone so clumsy before. I've never known her not to have at least one broken bone."
D: *calls social services*
S: "Aww man! Not again!"

See, I told you: Twue Wuv.

The course of true love never did run smooth;
But, either it was different in blood --
Or else misgraffed in respect of years --
Or else it stood upon the choice of friends --
Or, if there were a sympathy in choice,
War, death, or sickness, did lay siege to it,
Making it momentany as a sound,
Swift as a shadow, short as any dream,
Brief as the lightning in the collied night
That, in a spleen, unfolds both heaven and earth,
And ere a man hath power to say 'Behold!'
The jaws of darkness do devour it up;
So quick bright things come to confusion.

Will Steve find

Miss Right  4 (15.4%)
Miss Right Now  7 (26.9%)
His Handler from the DoKYA  4 (15.4%)
A lawsuit for sexual harassment  4 (15.4%)
Whatever the hell Jeph wants him to find  7 (26.9%)

And while the reason for her injury may bode well for Cossette to be at least option 2, I'm not sure if physical obsession is a firm basis on which to build a lasting relationship.  But at least we can be entertained.

Well, if Cosette was obsessing over his picture, and Steve obsessing over how to find her, then why wouldn't they be right for each other?

The comic was hilarious, by the way.

Because reality is that physical changes happen and reality is different from fantasy.  Lasting relationships need something else besides pure physical lust.

Lasting relationships need something else besides pure physical lust.

I've known several that have made it pretty far on less!

However, "lasting" and "good" are not the same thing...

Dora still did it. I've decided, for no good reason whatsoever, that persecuting Cossette is what Dora does when she thinks she's asleep.

I love the STFU expression on Cosette's face in the third panel.

Me, too. Girl's not as passive as she might appear.

Oh, and if one looks carefully, one can see a teeny black tip on one crutch in the last panel. Perhaps in the Cueseeverse they've developed a replacement for the giant grayish white doorstoppers we use.

Judging from Luna's expression and posture in the last panel, Cosette delivered a pretty good hit with that crutch, off-balance or no. I can't tell whether she's just trying to breathe, or trying not to puke.

I'm tempted to yell "Run, Steve, run!  Run from the crazy woman!"  But I sense that, ever since his DKYA days, Steve's been craving some excitement in his life.  So go for it, my son.  Just be sure to keep your nether region far away from Cosette's fiery stare.  I wonder if they make asbestos condoms?

Something in Cosette's stare at Luna reminded me of Momo 'encouraging' Marigold to go out. The electric-shock-enhanced "You will go out and have a good time" sort of encouragement.

My first reaction on reading the comic was

Where are the rubber tips on the crutches?  3 (5.7%)
She's cute when she's injured.  14 (26.4%)
How soon til people are shipping Luna and Hanners?  19 (35.8%)
Next  11 (20.8%)
Is the coffee in the office pot fresh?  0 (0%)
What will I get the significant other for Christmas?  6 (11.3%)

Total Voters: 53

And my reaction was that people need to stop projecting their own needs for emotional connection with cute blondes with OCD onto the artists work, but then I realized I may have put ideas into people's heads - my bad.
