Rowland S. Howard R.I.P.
« on: 07 Jan 2010, 13:04 »

Can't believe nobody posted about this here yet!

On December 30, guitarist and singer Rowland S. Howard, who had played with Nick Cave in Boys Next Door and The Birthday Party, and later in Crime and the City Solution and These Immortal Souls, has died of the liver disease he had long been suffering from. And that just after his career finally took a turn for the better after the release of his new album Pop Crimes, his first in ten years.

The world has lost yet another great musician and underground legend.

A lot of bands owe The Birthday Party a lot, including Cave himself. RIP.
