Fuck yes! I got my learner's permit today! After years of putting it off! I'm so excited. I was convinced I was gonna fail and do horrible and was freaking out all morning, but I totally did it!

I didn't get my license until I was 18.  Never got a learners permit, or took driver's ed.  My dad just taught me.  And, he's teaching me stick now on his Lotus.  That car is way too small for two people over 6'.  I passed the license test my first go.  The instructor said I was the best driver he'd seen in months.  This pretty much horrified me.  I got my first speeding ticket in June and I'm fighting it in a week or so.

Good news on the interview!  Where is it at?  Luck and such.

Good luck Patrick!

Ugh I have to read 1984 and Siddhartha, write an essay and do dialectical journals. Oh well, that's what I get for procrastinating. Even though I have more advanced placement classes this year than I have any other year, I still think it'll be my best year of high school; that's the point of senior year after all, and I should have lots of classes with my friends. I just hope I can motivate myself to do my work this year.

do dialectical journals

They have you doing these things in high school?  Where you fold your page in half, write thoughts about your reading on one side, then respond to them a day or so later on the other?

If so, that's awesome.  It's a great critical reading/thinking technique, and I'm glad to hear high schools are assigning it.
