What’s your preferred Zombie combat gear?

Myself: I am a living weapon, at least until I become a dead supper.
- 1 (1.7%)
A chain-saw: good enough for Ash, good enough for me. What do you mean, that was ‘just a movie’?
- 3 (5.2%)
Butterfly knives: slice ‘n dice, baybee! shing shing ouch!
- 3 (5.2%)
A three lb. Australian Cricket War-bat—good for smashin’, bashin’, and pretty much discombobulating a zombie. (Also, it doesn’t have an edge, so I can’t cut myself like I did with the butterfly knives).
- 11 (19%)
Tire-iron or crowbar—I’m a back-to-basics kind of zombie fighter.
- 9 (15.5%)
A twelve gauge shotgun, because when I’m out of ammo, I don’t want to live any more, anyway.
- 15 (25.9%)
A halberd. Keeps the icky bits away from me. Of course, I sleep with it.
- 16 (27.6%)

I can't remember the strip number (CelticGeek, are you there to help?), but during one of Marigirl's repair sessions she commented that the military bodies were robust. (Or was that a tweet?)

Right. Given that they're designed to walk around, hop on and off furniture, etc., they presumably have far sturdier shock protection than your typical desktop PC. They may get by by having a lot more RAM than a non-sentient computer, so when the shock-detector kicks in they don't have to wait for semi-vital processes to come out of swap.

Yesterday's poll results:
1. Bouncer at Chuck E Cheese     - 6 (13%)
2. "Before" model in all-new Charles Atlas campaign    - 13 (28.3%)
3. Pick holder at rock concert    - 12 (26.1%)
4. Model for American Apparel's new line of men's belly shirts    - 10 (21.7%)
5. Body double for Jason Alexander in upcoming Jenny Craig ad—bikini and all    - 5 (10.9%)

When I wrote this, I had no idea Charles Atlas, Ltd. was still in business, and was sure I'd get many 'wha?" reactions. I guess you guys knew better.

Knew I should have gone with Kevin Smith for #5.

Oh, and having reviewed comics 1413 - 7, I have this to say: WaaaGooshGooshGoosh never grows stale.

Aw, Faye looks so cute with a skinny lesbian cuddling her bosom.

She almost seems disappointed that Tai doesn't want to make out with her.

Oh hey look, Jeph left Chekhov's gun in panel one. Somebody better tell him, otherwise it's going to fire sooner or later.

What could possibly go wrong? The mind boggles. Of course, I admit I hang pictures with yardsticks, plumb bobs, spirit levels, and laser sighting devices all ready to hand. I sit before the wall, contemplate it, grok its fullness. Because that damned nail hole is going be there forever.

I only just noticed the radical perspective change in panel two. Look, it's the couch from Dora's apartment! I always thought there was more apartment in that direction, but apparently it's just a wall.

What does Marten's apartment look like, anyway? We only ever see one or two parts of it. I wouldn't be able to tell where the bathroom, Faye's bedroom or that window where Steve proposed hot gay sex is.

I don't know why, but this made me think of the "Isn't it nuts?" scenes in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, although Pintsize isn't big enough to impersonate even Tai. If only he could get his USB cable into the Boyfriendbot.

To be fair to Tai (can't believe I'm doing that), Faye brought up making out, which is kind of asking for the poke she got. Well, not literally, but you know what I mean.
