Man so blue pearls are dang expensive. That is ok, though, because I like the paua shells better anyway. Now on to Hokitika and some Franz Josef glacier thing. Woo!

Guys guys! Katie will be here on Sunday! She can help us finish moving. Who wants to get some dinner that day? Also, we should make a list of things she could do while we're at work! Vivid festival starts soon so maybe she could check out something, although most things are pretty expensive. We are going to do the lighted buildings walk down macquarie st sometime during the week.
Anyone have awesome ideas?

I'm taking MONDAY off to show her around.

Probably will just hang out near my place and eat lunch somewhere nice and walk to the ferry and take it to Circular Quay and maybe do the tourist CBD stuff with the Harbour Bridge and Opera House and QVB. It is supposed to  be cold and rainy but hopefully we'll get a spot of sun.

Maybe on TUESDAY or WEDNESDAY we could do the Vivid walk up Macquarie street? When do you have to go home Jamie?

We should organise a big Sydney QC Group Outing for next Saturday or Sunday (5th and 6th) as she is leaving on the 7th. Also who wants to take her to the airport that day, I will have to work.

I got an email from Katie - she is actually arriving in Sydney on Thursday night but is touristing with her parents until Saturday night, when I'm going to pick her up. I imagine we'll just head back to mine and sit surrounded by boxes with beers in our hands until we fall asleep.

Nick is right, we just got in from Chch like three hours ago and now I am abusing free wifi from the McDonald's down the street from the hotel in Chippendale. I will be meeting up with Ally on Saturday night. Also, technically I am leaving on the 8th, but I have to be at the airport at like 6:30am, so I will probably get a taxi, and also it doesn't really count as a day spent here.

Hey Nick and Ally falsify my bank records so that when I next apply for a house it looks like I've had a steady income three pay-cheques in a row even though I've spent several days having fun in Sydney instead of working.

I'm really sorry Katie, it's just that Australia is a stupidly big place and sometimes it's just not feasible to travel from city to city to see people even though I'd really really like to. And I really thought I'd have enough money to travel to Sydney at this time of year but I don't because of a whole bunch of stuff and because Australian "cheap flights" are still stupidly expensive by world standards.

Oh well. I have a katie all to myself! It has been bucketing rain the past two days and also we have been moving house and have no Internet. Katie has been a champ about this. Today we might finally escape the boxes and go into the city. We had a surprise meeting with jimmy yesterday at the shops which was nice! We must all meetup and have dinner sometime this week.

I am still not sure what to do with a Katie and I have had one for three days already.
Maybe take her to the Aquarium or Kinokuniya or something nerdy, she has been to the zoo and the Rocks and today is in Newtown with Jimmy and Han.

I think I have the sleep part pretty well covered but it would cost me a fortune to keep this woman in whiskey.
Hint: try white wine instead.

I know! We already compared her to that.
She has a phone but it's really ridiculously expensive to call to and from, so we all have to text and call each other to find out who she is with.
