Jeph Jacques Music
« on: 12 May 2010, 17:36 »

It seems the Deathmole stuff is fairly easy to get hold of, but does anyone have many/all of the mp3s of stuff Jeph has released under his own name? He used to put them up on his blog occasional, instrumental indie-rawkish stuff. I loved a lot of those songs (5am and A March espescially) and have lost my files and can't find them online.

Can anyone hook a brother up?

I think it's a misspelling of Jeff Jacks.

I think it's a misspelling of Jeff Jacks.

It's pronounced JEFF JACKS.

WOW MY VERY OWN MUSIC THREAD ON THE QC BOARDS  :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o     :-D :-o :police: :police: :police:

Here's that track Sean mentioned:

http://www.questionablecontent.net/mp3/homageduhum.mp3

this is probably my favorite non-Deathmole thing I've done:

http://www.questionablecontent.net/mp3/FiveOverFour.mp3

this one has some good guitar interplay:

http://www.questionablecontent.net/mp3/elementals-mellowversion.mp3

and something a little more recent, this one has a pretty killer Hum-style riff starting at about 3:19:

http://www.questionablecontent.net/mp3/FilthyShoegazingBastards.mp3

okay this is just preposterous

http://www.questionablecontent.net/mp3/JMascisIsComingForYourSoul.mp3

this could actually be a pretty good sorta Band of Horses-ish song if I could sing or write lyrics for shit:

http://www.questionablecontent.net/mp3/holywars.mp3

this is more techno than guitar oriented but I'm still pretty pleased with how it turned out:

Deathmole Jacques' head takes up the bottom half of the panel, with his words taking up the top half. He is not concerned about the life of his friend.

This seems like a good place for my question:

"Deathmole is a fictional band that make actual music. It is all done by Jeph Jacques."

So I get that Jeph plays all the guitars and basses. How does he do the drums? Does he actually play real (acoustic or electronic) drums? Or does he program them in a sequencer (my preferred method, as I don't play drums*)?

*(My brother plays drums and has an electronic kit, so when I need an actual drummer I can call him.)
