The Rebel Set - MiniTour
« on: 17 May 2010, 14:55 »

Hey, QC!  As some of you from the guitar topic may know, I play in a few bands, one of whcih is a surf-punk/garage rock band called the Rebel Set.  We're headed out to California and Vegas at the end of the month in support of our new record, "Poison Arrow."  It would be great to meet some of you out there.  We'll be the dudes in suits.  Here's some dates -

Thursday, March 27 - San Diego, Tin Can Alehouse at 1863 Fifth Avenue w/ Little Fowl and Echo Revolution
Friday, March 28 - Long Beach, The Puka Bar, 710 West Willow Street w/ Electric Children, The Cactus Pricks and Thee Invention
Saturday March 29 - San Francisco, Pissed Off Pete's 4528 Mission Street w/ the Jibbers and Vultures Await (we'll be on the air with Pirate Cat radio that afternoon)
Sunday March 30- Las Vegas, The Double Down Saloon, 4640 Paradise Road w/ Uberschall (feat. members of Blue Man Group)

If you want to check us out, you can hear us at http://www.myspace.com/rebelset or on iTunes.  (Don't confuse us with the Americana band "The Rebel Set" from Ohio).

And if you played too hard it'd flop out and dangle around by the wire and that is just super ugly

No problem, Jeans; and, thanks, Melodic.

Incidentally, someone started a community page for us yesterday on facebook (unless this was part of facebook's new attempts to join its members).  It's this one-http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Rebel-Set/106200742740583?v=desc&ref=search .  I'm guessing it was someone on here as the membership is almost all outside of the States.  So, thanks, whoever you are!

We also have a regular facebook with song links if anyone is interested- http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Rebel-Set/106200742740583?v=desc&ref=search#!/pages/The-Rebel-Set/108720102358?ref=ss

Tour starts tomorrow!  Please check us out if you're in California or Las Vegas.  If you can't make it, on Saturday you can catch us streaming on Pirate Cat Radio out of San Francisco.  We'll be on from 12-2 MST.

Wrapped up the first show at the Tin Can Alley in San Diego last night.  We're playing tonight at the Puka Bar in Long Beach for those in the area.  Hope to see you out!
