And I kept thinking, even before her "wardrobe malfunction", that she was going to be overdressed.
Very much so, considering the way "the gang" normally dresses. Dora's the only one who glams it up a bit, an then only for special occasions like meeting Marten's Dad. This could be another manifestation of Marigold's social ineptitude, but I suspect Jeph of going for the low-cut frock to justify a spaghetti-strap bra for the whole "boob suspension-failure"* joke. I confess that I've never had a bra collapse on me, but then Marigold has bigger boobs than my Grandma, Mama, and me put together.

*At least it's classier than a fart joke, right?

Only 3 pages of comments... its rare QC gets only so few comments.

We're getting into the summer season and as schools and colleges let out, may of the usual suspects are spending more time AFK.

I know that was true for me. Finished my last exam last Tuesday, left Wednesday at 5 AM for Orlando. Got back on Thursday at 3 AM, and here I am.

And I kept thinking, even before her "wardrobe malfunction", that she was going to be overdressed.

Guys; it's just a dress. Faye has even worn one before; remember the Lemon Genocide outfit?

Besides, the only one she's trying to impress already said she looked great so it might well be mission accomplished anyway.

Akima may well be right, with the pace QC moves the lemonpocalypse may have been before her time!

Of course, it's nothing compared to the fancy dress the last time she went drinking with the gang...

And hey, we made 4 pages.

Woot.

I can understand her in a dress.  If she is like me, she doesn't get a chance to wear many "just because."  So, even a small thing like this is an excuse to put on something cuter than would be worn just hanging out at home.  I would say she had gone too far if she had done a fancier than normal style with her hair, or was wearing makeup or heels or something else highly unusual.

So, on Tuesday panel 3 we have Faye revelling in her well-supported cleavage.

Today, Marigold is suffering from severe saggage in that region.

Soon, they will be in a room together.

Anyone else think we are being set up for some Dramatic Conflict in the form of breast one-upmanship?
Four breasts enter, only two breasts leave?

*Sigh* I have tried twice to post this, but can't create a satisfactory title for said event. So far I have:
  • KnockerDome
  • Rackamania
  • Boobpopolypse
  • Mamslam
  • BreastWrest

But none seem to stand out. There are likely others, and probably each one of these has its own site—that pesky rule again. Anyway, I feel better now. And I'll be glad when we get back to fart-jokes. If this keeps up, I may regress all the way back to fourteen, or else join Border Reiver in his DOMhood.

I'm not sure that levee and bridge breaks come under 'natural'. But you're right, I can't believe I (or anyone else)  didn't bring up boobquakes. Best way to fight fundamentalism ever.

Well, I didn't actually mean a wrestling match! (although... Clash of the Tit-ans?)

Angus will be with two woman who have a romantic interest in him, and one now clearly has the upper hand, cleavage wise. Tension has already led to something snapping - it may do so again, socially speaking.

Angus and Faye really should open up, as tactfully as possible, to Marigold about whatever their current relationship can be called.

Maybe not this night, it's probably still too soon, but they shouldn't wait for too long. In the long run, secrecy risks to cause more harm than openness, even if it's bound to hurt either way. If she finds out on her own, she's likely to feel betrayed for having been left in the dark.

Although, tact being neither's forte, they should get some help for that. I'd say Marten (for his overall kindness), and Hannelore (for being Marigold's close friend, and for her ability to distantiate herself from relational shenanigans) would be prime candidates to give a hand.

1. I wish I knew more girls with such bra-bursting problems as Marigold (and possibly Faye) .

2. I- ah... noticed the faint arrows highlighting Marigold's "levee burst and downflow", was that intentional on Jeph's part?  or meant to signify Angus' involuntary reaction of looking in that direction?

3. I also agree it is good to dress up nice now and then.  The best example and reason why, sung from this classic musical show and WALL-E's central themed song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmHVAfQEsEc (with lyrics included!)

They're intentional, at least that's how it looked on the UStream. I think they're just creases from the dress taking on its newfound load.

Oh, Cosette. I thought we were talking about Marigold, though she's been on twitter for a while, and the "Huh? How's that?" was in response to the comment about Pintsize. And I didn't look at the twitter profile pictures before commenting.

You could have just added this to your post directly above it, you know. And not completely missed the point. Of course I didn't mean the testing phases, when the most mobile thing photographed was a window. But once it was on the cusp of commercial viability and the shutter time was less than five decades, the first use was by rich dudes to take pictures of naked ladies (and don't take that literally either, I mean the first subject matter to take up a substantial percentage of the shots taken).

I think snubnose has kinda missed the point of my post, too. I never said or even implied that Marigold going back to change the bra was far-fetched - merely that it never occurred to me, and if it had then I wouldn't have made unwarranted plot suggestions.

What has Dora said about children in the past? There was one strip where she said she would eat her young, but I have a vague memory, so vague it may not be real, of her sayng something around Marten about being married with kids.

You mean this strip?
