GOG offering free Tex Murphy games
« on: 18 Dec 2009, 13:21 »

Oi, if you like adventure games, Good Old Games is offering the first two Tex Murphy joints for free until the 24th. GOG's downloads are DRM-free, so if you download them now you can play them until eternity (as opposed to the sort of "free until" deals that Steam and the like use, which make the games unplayable after a certain point)

Can't beat that price, eh.

Oh hai,

After a brief hiatus, GOG has come back and they are now selling downloads of the Infinity Engine games. Rumor has it that they're releasing them in the order that they were released. Right now they have Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment for sale. Go get them.

This would be awesome if I didn't spend thirty bucks nine months ago for the mysterious unpatched DVD rerelease. Also, can I say don't bother with Baldur's Gate One until they release BG2. One is great and all, but the interface actually sucks and Tutu or something like it makes it good by porting all the assets over to the newer Infinity Engine version BG2 used.
