I have to say I didnt noticed the bubble and font change before someone pointed them out in this thread.

Hmm yeah maybe they are not as good as before. Am I evil if I dont care ? As long as Faye and Hanners look great, I dont really care much about the rest.

No, not evil.

A little obsessed, maybe... but I've been seen worse!

I noticed the font change, and dislike the font.

I didn't notice the font bubble change, but don't care for it now that it's been pointed out.

As for the story... this can't end well.

The worst possible outcome that I can see for this date would be that it being the same day that Hanners gets put on a different prescription and she has a bad reaction to it.  That would be more along the lines of her first appearance in the comic but in a more smexy way.

Or perhaps a more electric way. If Hanners changes her meds, I'm holding out for a tasering—maybe even, dare I hope, a double tasering? Conversely, she could whack Sven in the figs with that little telescoping club that, as best I can recall, turned out to be illegal.

Y'know, it's quite probable that the Big Date won't end in romantical shenanigans--as long as Hanners doesn't drink/takes her meds/doesn't injure Sven, and Sven controls the devil in his pants on his shoulder. And as much as I'd love to see a good trainwreck, it would also be nice to see Sven make a friend.

So if he pulls it off...perhaps Hanners will reintroduce him to Marigold? Who, unlike Hanners, is very romantically interested in boys? And who plays WoW, much like Sven secretly does (I think they might even play the same side/faction...?) Could there be adorable awkwardness over the clash of insanely popular but secret nerd Sven and out-and-out insular Marigold?

And perhaps Sven, whom, as Ray of Achewood would have it, is a "breast man", will discover Faye does not have the only set of epic boobs in town?

Whiiiich could also lead to all sorts of interesting drama! Sven is a penitent gigolo who has exes everywhere, some of whom want him back in the sack. Mari has never even kissed a boy before drunkenness and Angus. Angus is dating FAYE and he and Sven will have to Kung-Fu Fight at some point or another. Marigold could worry she was being used to get to Faye! Dora could summon forth Yog-Sothoth out of pure rage! Endless possibilities!

Unless I missed something in the conversation, it seems that no one considered the most ironic possible twist in the events to come: Sven falling for Hannelore. I mean completely, head over heels, totally in love. Given Sven's past, ending up in a relationship which is bound to be platonic for any foreseeable future would be hilarous, in a somewhat gritty way.

Maybe if Hannelore smokes a lot of pot she will be able "real" date and love Sven back (or at least have a chance of loving him back, not being freaked out my germy stuff)

But as she says here,
http://questionablecontent.net./view.php?comic=1046
she couldn't, its illegal.

The way around this is for Jeph to legalize it.
QC Politics, LOL.

OR they could just have a non-sexual relationship.

I can see it now - hanging out at all his shows (in disguise, of course), collecting every cover and version of all his songs, a Sven-shrine hidden in the apartment, retrieving DNA samples...

OK, I just seriously creeped myself out with that last bit.

Yes, yes, i know, that's why I referenced it.

It was more the thought of Sven donating DNA that was a bit creepy...

I did not think of that! That would be an interesting twist. Wil would help him write poetry for her, odes to her cleanliness.  That would actually be a funny twist.
