I just finished my second album today, after a year and a half (on and off) of work. It's made up of 11 tracks that combine hard rock, industrial beats, and electronic sounds. It's called "The Shivers," and I put it up on BandCamp to be listened to (in high quality, no less).

EDIT: Some direct links to tracks:

Close Your Eyes, an electronic track with buzzing synths and introspective lyrics.

Girl's Got Altitude, a pounding rock track with a catchy chorus.

Going Down, a gritty number with a screaming solo at the end.

Supersonic, a hot mess of swirling synths and booming drums.

I'm not even sure how to feel now that I'm done.

oh man, that genre switchup in Diamond Dust is pretty abrupt

edit: I was about to proclaim my love for "Going Down" but then I realized the only reason it sounded so frenetic and arrhythmic was because I accidentally had the song playing in two tabs at once, a quarter second apart :(

edit 2: Clarified and Close Your Eyes are pretty good, and definitely standouts for me, so I guess I'm just not a rad hair metal guitar kind of guy

Pfft. Find me some rock music which doesn't have a precedent.

This sounds good and I like the artwork. It's not my thing but I was impressed by the quality of what I assume was a digital recording.

Thanks for taking the time to listen, guys. Let me try to respond to everything:

Melodic: Honestly, I'll take that as a compliment. It's all been done before, and I just tried to make the best songs I could. What bands do you find that I sound like? I'm really curious.

Wasteroo: Yeah, Diamond Dust as the intro was my way of trying to introduce the album as a whole. There are a lot of songs that mix heavy sounds with electronic ones, others that are just heavy, and others that are purely electronic. I figured it would be a good introduction. And Close Your Eyes is one of my favorite tracks from this album - I really love the way that one turned out.

Ptommydski: I really appreciate that even though the sound isn't your thing, you still took the time to comment. This is absolutely a digital recording/production - a combination of FL Studio, Sound Forge, and iZotope Ozone/RX.

I just did some more uploading, and wanted to share a couple of other songs with you guys:

Insincerity is a bluesy kind of rock instrumental.

That's Okay is a punk-rock type track, short and to-the-point, with a driving rhythm.

Any thoughts on these?

I really liked "going down" it reminded me of something that should have came out during the 90's. Which to me was the best decade of music.

Hey, thanks - Redline underwent a pretty huge shift right before I finished the album. It was originally a straight rock track the whole way through, but I made the last half electronic at the request of a friend. I'm happier with the song now - it wasn't as dynamic before.

NO

Care to...elaborate?

A lot of people have been telling me that I made this in the wrong decade - that if I'd done it in the mid-90s, it would have been popular. That's a bittersweet complement for me, because well...I want people to like it now. But thanks, Aurjay!

Oh, no apology necessary. I could tell you meant it as a compliment. It's just tough, because I find myself making sounds from the 80s and 90s, and apparently those sounds aren't...well, as attractive to many as they are to me.
