Hahaha my sister's cat Nabisco is terrified of everything. Even if we are yelling "no" at the new kitten for being retarded again, Nabisco will run and hide for hours. Strangely, if we use the other cat's name, he will not run away. I always thought that cats and dogs mostly recognised their names as being synonymous with "come", and you shouldn't use your dog's name when you are mad at him because it will mess up his association with his name and confuse him, but in this case maybe it is something else?

here's a picture of my family's cat, Junie (named by my sister after the titular character of the Junie B Jones children's books)

I have the dumbest kitty ever. Seriously. I love her to death, but she is straight idiotic sometimes.

I'm actually disappointed I don't have picture or video of her running, she has this sack of skin that just hangs down between her back legs and flops around when she runs.

The flap of skin is typical of an Egyptian Mau (I think that's the name?).  I think it helps them jump or run fast, or something like that.

No, It's actually a hindrance to her running a little. The vet said it's normal for it to happen after spaying but hers might be worse because she also had hernia surgery at the same time. It is basically a cute little jiggly belly that she has. I'll grab a photo when I can so you can see.

Also, She is a Russian Blue mix, I highly recommend them as loving kitty companions.

Russian blues are supposed to be good cats to have if you have allergies. There's a few other breeds out there, too. I don't think there's a hypoallergenic cat though...

Yeah, hypo-allergenic is not something that exists in pets with hair, even if that hair is short. There are less-allergenic cats, but that's the best you're going to get.

My cat is nice and fat, and is colored like a holstein cow. She gets half and half every morning, but isn't allowed outside because of traffic.

My fiance's parents have a miniature schnauser that tries to bite me fairly often, and since their house is close to ours it barks at me all the fucking time. It has a doggy door so nothing stops it from following me around and yipping with this ear splitting intensity. I have never hated anything more than I hate that dog.

This is my kitten Apollo, little ginger terror of the high seas. He is the loudest cat I've ever had, and he doesn't actually meow that much. He freaks out about nearly everything, attacks our older cat Morgan, who is an 14 pound grey tabby with white belly and paws, constantly, ambushing her around corners and chasing her around the house. I've finally got him to leave my rats alone, mainly because he's tired of getting bitten on the nose, though my oldest rat Altair will sometimes come down to the bottom of the cage and hang out with him, and they'll like, fall asleep watching each other.

He, like all kittens of proper behavior, enjoys getting in plastic bags.

Dammit he is the most charismatic little fucker ever, he purrs loudly about everything, loves to be petted and in general I just cannot stay angry at him for more than 30 seconds or so.

You would still be allergic to it, since it is their spit that you react to and not their hair.

I've got bigtime allergies, but I've been getting shots for them for a few years now and they're much better than they used to be.

I think the time has come for me to get a dog.

Look at this sweet face:

I'm planning/hoping to adopt her from a rescue organization - the home visit lady will come by in the next week or so and then the rest is pretty much done!

I think one of my rats is dying. He has a brain tumor and his balance and head tilt has been getting progressively worse. To the point where the other day he fell off the top level of his cage and slammed into the ground and didn't move for a while. I thought he'd died then but when I poked him he got up and nibbled my finger. His brother is going to be so lonely!

Jimmy, that sucks. I'm sorry.

I'm getting Bailey on the 16th!!!

Eeeeeee!

Also, Katie, I don't react to saliva as strongly as I do to dander, which is why a hairless-or-less-hairy pet is a better choice for me. I can wash her off with a cloth every day to keep down the dander on HER, and then vacuum a lot to keep down the dander in the HOUSE and we should be golden!

My old cat liked to do this to wake me up. He'd lie on my upper back if I was on my stomach or on my chest if I was on my back and poke me in the face until I got up. Which I did because I couldn't bloody breathe with a 20+lb cat crushing my lungs. At least he never laid down on my face, I would have died.

Thankfully my cat doesn't torture me in my sleep like that. He just does everything he can to keep me from going to bed, by doing those things, and also by chasing my toes and my blankets and my hands. Apparently I am no fun when I am asleep.

My little Bella (ferret) is really sick and this might be our last night with her :( We lost Elvis in October, Inky and Waffle the last week of December, and now we're losing Bella. I don't know what Pedro is going to do.. they've been together at least 4 years and are best buddies. It's so strange going from 5 ferrets to this.

I have to take Jekyll the Rat to the vet on Wednesday. He can't climb, his breathing is really laboured and obviously uncomfortable and he barely eats or even cleans himself anymore. He's been getting steadily worse for a while but I can't really avoid this any longer. It would be cruel. Hyde is going to be so lonely now though. Sad.
