What happens when someone with more than 12,000 posts makes a shitty thread?

We say, "Hey Kieffer, how have you been?"

I'm in the camp that thinks this thread is making a bigger deal than necessary out of something that's not a terribly big deal. I don't look at all the various corners of the forums regularly, but I definitely look at the music forum all the time. I already ignore some of the regularly active threads because they don't hew to my interests, so I don't really see how it can be that hard to ignore the occasional new rubbish thread.

Also I definitely enjoy seeing all of us in that forum put our pretentious encyclopedic knowledge of musical apocrypha to use in threads where people request listening recommendations.

So that means that people with inordinately high post-counts are absolutely horrid in bed. Good to know.

I really made that post to see how many posts I had because I was sure it had to be under like 2000.

And it is!

But yeah I think basically we should do the exact opposite of this and make the rule that every new boarders first 10 posts have to be new threads, and they can't make more than one a day. Maybe a subthing that lets them post as much as they want in threads they made, but those don't count for the 10 towards giving them full boarding rights.

I'd be okay with that.

It has less to do with padding my post count, for me.

I wonder if we added all the posts from all of your previous accounts to your current posts if you'd have over 12000...

But then we would have to subtract all of his double posts because they don't really count.

I dunno, new people can sometimes be a little irritating but fresh faces are always nice.

Then again I think Kieffer is regularly hilarious so I have no real opinion

Honestly I never posted that much, except maybe back when I was like, 16 and had a lot of pretty dumb ideas about things.

Andy, I'm glad you still think I'm funny! I am a fan of yours.
