Somebody told me my music should be in videogames.
http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/494532

Agreed, as in, I would play that game and I am not even much of a gamer. Sounds like fun shit to play a flight sim along to.

Thanks for the words, guys, I was super stoked to find out somebody got it, even more stoked that it came out as clear as it did, and even more-er stoked that the bass isn't inaudible.

I also just found out somebody got video of my homage to Hendrix from the 4th of July show. Several beers and an AMF were harmed in the making of this film

I know I don't post much anymore but basically I wanted to spam my musics at you.

I sing in a black metal band in Sydney, Australia. We had our first gig in nearly 4 years on Sunday and someone took a video!

You can look at it here

I'm very proud of myself at the moment even though I was nearly shitting myself from nerves on the night. I forgot how not to be nervous during that time between gigs.

Have been messing around with arpeggiators and drum machines lately. If anything comes of it, I will let this thread know.

(side note: the Halcyon Drumatix 255, rad little download!)

Somebody caught an iPhone video of the second half of Troubador's cover of "California Dreamin'" from last night. Sound quality is pretty crap in this video (we overdrove that phone mic pretty hard), but holy shit this was a fun song to play.

Thanks for the positive thoughts, guys!

And, Valley, I assume you mean Joie?  Haha, yes!  I left the band after our highly publicized "last show" and moved out of the country.  Part of me is glad I did, because I think this may be my favorite album of the year, and it would be really lame of me to like an album that I recorded on that much.  Does this make sense?  Because that sentence was atrocious.

I'm whoring my stuff out a bit here in my opinion, but that's fine cause that's what this thread is for, right?

So I sort of came up with this today and here's my first attempt at getting it recorded, probably the only one until I get moved into my next place, so I'm a bit impatient. I'm not sure what genre this is, but it's delayed pretty heavily and contains some light distortion.
Comes ungllued at about 2 minutes, so you might as well stop listening there.
http://soundcloud.com/tuathal/martenisquery

Very soothing. I imagine some subtle meandering Kim Gordon-esque singing echoeing through that.

SOooooo.... I got the tracks my band recorded last year with their old singer and I am kind of rehearsing to maybe re-record the vocals and sketching the whole thing and such.

Please please comment,
I know my head-voice is kind of special.

http://kiwi6.com/file/kmx7367088

The song is called "Always Hunted" and I didn't write it or anything, just adjusted the lyrics a bit where there were too many syllables for  my taste.

Mic: Rode NT-1
via Audition
Compressor, EQ, De-Esser
uhmm.. some Studio-Hall and 2-Voice-Chorus Effect

I really should get some sort of training because if I´d sing that high my head would explode and blood would gush out of my eyes and ears.

Hmm, is 5ish songs the generally understood limit? Our list is, like, 15 songs... Also, how crazy out there do you want to get? I would've loved to do, like, a Tom Waits set or something, but there's just no way we could've done him justice.

Given our tendency to rush a little when we play live, we usually fit at least 10-11 songs in our sets. Our entire 9 song album is only half an hour, and the norm at almost every gig we've played has been an hour (including setup/teardown).

As for the costume, I've got short dirty-blonde hair and about a month left to grow a blonde beard, and I'm a rather thin guy with super defined facial features. I considered being the guy from Trainspotting since I look a bit like a heroin addict, but since one of my bandmates lost a close friend to heroin I thought better of it...
