it's really weird how burned out i am on coachella lineups when i've never gone lol

friday looks really really weirdly bad for some reason, except for titus, but saturday and sunday appear to be quality. radio dept.!

Shat myself at the DFA1979 thing (had they announced getting back together before this or is this the first anyone's heard of that?), and obviously dying to see Titus, but unlike other years there is like literally nothing else that leaps out at me.

I like thinking this is the first anyone's heard anything about the DFA thing. Their website still has the "we're no longer a band" thing as the most recent post from 2006, I didn't read anything anywhere. Today is also the first time I've heard "so the rumours are true" so I guess maybe I'm just out of the DFA loop but yeah, completely unexpected for me.

Yeah I realised that literally seconds after pushing "Submit". That being said, it'd only really be in the picture for Sebastien. As far as I can tell MSTRKRFT is way bigger than DFA1979 are or were or probably will be in the future. They have deep penetration in the bro market.

dunno when this was but towards the end most of their shows were packed houses. i guess when you have serious coke problems though food winds up low on the priority list.

i should also mention that the dfa1979 guys are total dicks, but whatever, their one record was genuinely great, so good for them if they can put aside their differences and make some not-shitty music again
