Hey, me too, SWM.  I eat puh-cahns, have puh-cahn cereal, like puh-cahn ice cream.  But it's definitely a pee-can pie.

Did you guys listen to Kat's story about pee-can? This is why saying pee-can is sometimes a problem.

Also it doesn't sound appetizing at all.

Pee-can makes most people sound like they are "doing their American accent", mostly, or imitating hicks

But America is the only place where it isn't pronounced pee-can. Surely the reverse would be true.

Harry: Nope, we still say pea-nut. I guess I have found some stuff in my research to support the different pronunciations.

Spluff: It seems to be a typical perception of southern americans that we do, in fact,  say "pee-can". It is a stereotype that I have always found ludicrous because it isn't even a true stereotype by the definition of "stereotype".

I am just gonna call them pacanas from now on. There is only one way that word is pronounced.

Brits and Aussies would pronounce "pacanas" different from N. Americans too (I'm assuming you basically mean it to rhyme with banana)

Yeah, I guess so. Like "banana".

Edit: Dovey, your avatar is not from a spoof of Eternal Sonata, is it, because there is this one boss and he has this retarded attack that is just him kneeling on the ground and shouting "J'accuse!".

I thought blinking a lot meant you were nervous? I blink a lot anyway and I didn't wear my glasses so that made it worse.

No, sudden loss of bladder control means that you're nervous.

Also, stop saying oregano wrong.

The way Americans say oregano (oh-regg-ah-no) sounds like a maverick from an 80s cop show. We say it or-ree-gahh-no. And its right.
