The Saddest Music In the World
« on: 05 May 2011, 14:36 »

"If you're apathetic, and like beer, I'm you're lady"

I am pretty sure that is a reference to the Saddest Music in the World by Guy Maddin, and if so, that's AWESOME.  He was my film prof once, he told us a story about how he got pistol whipped by a performing monkey at his 4th birthday party.  Which would explain a lot.

I note this is the exact third anniversary of your previous post (in the music forum), which was quite as puzzling as this one...

Really?  Weird!  That was not intentional!  I have a habit of getting overly excited whenever Winnipeg is mentioned.  Guy Maddin is a Winnipeg director who makes really weird movies, and I enjoy when people outside of the city have heard of him!

I can corroborate this, being from around the area myself.
