So yeah this topic sticks out like a sore thumb

But... do any of you guys have a Nook Color?

I went against my every stingy anti-yuppie instinct a few months ago and bought one on ebay. Has turned out to be one of the best purchases I've ever made. The development community is very active, and their work's helped turn it into a competent and affordable android tablet. Now I thought I'd never have any use for a tablet, but it turns out I did and I use the thing almost as much as I use my regular computer. I thought I'd never have any use for an e-reader either, but it turns out I spend more time now reading on the Nook than I have in ages.

If anyone's been entertaining thoughts about getting one for cheap I can recommend it warmly

Oops, I'd completely missed that forum and assumed that thread was entirely about e-readers rather than about full-fledged tablets. Would take it as a kindness if you'd move this thread to the appropriate forum

Easiest if you just add an appropriate post there and we let this thread die; OTOH if the Nook is appreciably more than an ereader (I know nothing about it), such as to deserve separate consideration, start a new thread in that forum about it.
