I do not get number 1959.

I do not get comic #1959. Is the joke just that Marigold starts dancing and then gets embarrassed because Hannelore looks at her? Because that's a really creepy face on Hanners.

Actually, you did get it.

We are being introduced to the party through Hanners and Mar-bear.

They were 'just being themselves'.

No big deal.

Generally, this kind of an issue belongs in the Weekly Comic Discussion Thread. (WCDT)

Ah. Coming from the xkcd forums, I was wondering where all the individual comic threads were. I was also wondering what the heck WCDT was short for and couldn't figure it out in the short span of time of my break at work. Derp.

I thought Hanners wanted to dance. *shrugs* I thought she was getting all happy because Marigold started dancing.

Me too, and that's the story I'm sticking with unless I learn different.

At least they could have had fun if they started dancing. Marigold is a kick-ass dancer.

If Hanners just started flailing, half the people at the party would think she was a kick-ass dancer. That's been my experience, anyway, dancing with drunk people. I am not a good dancer.

I kind of assumed it was Hanners' "look at you, you're coming out of your shell!" face.

It is simple.

Hanners feels for Marigold, so when Marigold busts a lil move, Hanners feels so happy for her that she is "coming out of her shell" and having fun that she makes creepy smile.

IMO, Hanners is one of the best characters in the comic.

For me, it's Hanners, Faye, Marigold.

The rest.

Raven.
