Song I imagined Momo singing.
« on: 10 Sep 2011, 15:03 »

Mods, if this is inappropriate, you can remove it. I mean this only in the spirit of amusement.

I imagined Momo as the lead singer of a punk rock band for some reason, and I, in a moment of feeling silly, wrote some lyrics for her.

I, don't want to hear, don't want you to say, I sing pretty good for a robot.
I, don't want to think, don't want you to feel, I love pretty good, for a robot.
I just want to be me
just want to be you
just want to be inside you
I just want to be free
just want to stay true
yeah--I'm a robot.

lol...my imagination gets kind of carried away.

This is what happens when I'm stuck at home because my car broke down. : (

Accompanied by Deathmole?  One of the several ways it could go: Momo and Marten become friends. Deathmole needs a singer. 2+2... As the first human/AI band they get noticed and become somewhat popular, at least until the novelty wears off.

I would love a human/AI band. Or an entirely AI band. That would be awesome.

That's when I found questionable content the movie. Has anyone heard of it?

But to answer your concern. The mods obviously have the final word, but I don't think that there is anything objectionable about you posting your lyrics here. It might also fit into the sticky "fan art"-thread at the top of the page. That might actually be a better place for it, because here it may eventual drop out of sight as new discussion threads push it down.

Don't worry, she'll be the star of QC Volume III - The Wrath of Mom. ;)

What style of singing would suit someone who is loving and caring but has a history of being treated like an object, with a human and even a robot feeling entitled to look up her skirt?

I can imagine Momo singing soul.

Anything by Courtney Love, I'd suspect.

Singing and playing an instrument would be culturally appropriate for Momo.

EDIT: what kind of tune did you imagine going with the words?

To be fair: The thing with the eels might spur curiosity.  But it would be polite to ask first, of course.

What could she sing?  I can imagine "Conniptions" from Deathmole's "Long Songs" accompanied by a powerful Valkyrie voice.

How Jeph could get hold of an actual singer with that kind of voice is a different cup of coffee.

Something angry and intense, like yelling. Aggressive punk rock sound. Momo's addressing all the haters who think she can't be someone because she's a robot. It's just her being proud of being a robot and wanting understanding.

An AI band would, I imagine, be mostly metal.

Playing techno.

That's a very meat-centric stereotype!

I have it on good authority that some AnPC's like western swing...

We know that AnthroPCs sing, e.g. Charlotte. She didn't seem like the techno type somehow.

With what stereotype would you listen to an AI band? Component, boombox or personal-portable?

Momo 2.0 is definitely a Nana Kitade kind of vocalist -- Gothic Lolita style and all.

I imagine Momo singing Daisy Bell as I remove her OS and put on House Maid OS 3.1.

So, I didn't know the song was called Daisy Bell (though I had my suspicions), and upon Googling it, I found out something else I never knew

But really, you don't need to install the HouseMaid OS, she's already programmed for light housekeeping

Of course, with the new chassis, she may be able to do some of the heavy lifting now...

The words "Momo singing" evoked a voice like Gwen Stefani (like in "Just a Girl") or Alanis Morissette for me, actually.  Plenty of attitude, but subtle, like Alanis, and with a weird accent, like Stefani.  And yes, Gwen Stefani has a weirder accent than Alanis.
