Diablo II Key

So I don't come around here often, but I've been wanting to play Diablo II again recently but can't find my CD key. The disk images I can download, but since they're useless without the key, so I was wondering if anyone had an old one I could borrow, so as to save my little brother from having to rummage around my parent's house for the original disks.
I'm happy if I can just play the game and not use the battle.net feature, though that would be nice.

So, I am reposting here because I am now wondering if anyone has a Diablo II LoD CD key they wouldn't mind donating/selling to me. I've been playing Diablo II online with a key Stephen kindly gave when I first posted but now the hit is not good enough and I need to upgrade.
Basically, if you have a Diablo II LoD CD key that you are not using and would like to give to me, awesome, thanks. If you would like $5 (via paypal or something?) that'd be swell.

Solution:
Step 1 - find your old CDs and CD key for Diablo II Lords of Destruction
2tep 2 - EITHER play Diablo to OR decide you don't want to waste that much time and give your CD key to me

I think I am just going to buy a key from Diablo-keys dot com; they're offering both keys for five bucks and say they replace if the key doesn't work and that they do not resell their keys. I was suspicious and e-mailed the guy, apparently they bought their keys at bankruptcy sales. The only thing to be wary of is their site tries to sign you up to buy two sets of keys and their guide, so if you aren't careful you'll spend $15 accidentally. The site also sells some dupers, mods, and guides, so I guess that is how they make money?

I will post again if I it goes well/poorly with that site.

I got mine from diabloaddict.com and they work online.  Helped me out when I couldn't find my damn Diablo II box.  Had my key within hours of the transaction.

Update on purchase: First keys they sent me did not work, I said so and got a new set of keys in under 24 hours, these did not work, I tried and again they did not work, got new keys again and this third set worked. So, while I had to go through install & patching three times, I got keys for five bucks American (about six and a half Canadian). Wouldn't go out of my way to actively recommend this as it took three tries to get working keys, but he was quick to reply to my problems so it's by no means a bad service and I would say it is reliable since I got working keys in the end.
It was diablo-keys.com, by the way.

Also I did not even bother with the keygen link you posted, I assumed it wouldn't work. Does it produce usable keys?

Yeah I don't know how a keygen would work out for regular battle.net. But you could definitely use a keygen for single play and, uh, goontopia.

such a thing does exist, but it is not widely available.

someone was giving out their legit b.net keys keygen on 4chan once upon a time, but at the time i didn't care enough to try it out.


this is probably why 2/3 of slick's keys were bogus.

As you may know, Diablo 3 has just been released. Blizzard recently announced that the game will only be playable online to prevent things such as keygen. At the same time they released the list of all diablo 3 skills and they also said that the full game will be released early 2012. In my opinion, it will be WAY harder to exploit Diablo 3 than Diablo 2. Diablo 2 had tons of loopholes.

By the way, sorry for bringing an old thread up but does anyone here tried the Diablo 3 close beta yet? (released last week)
