Marigold (being herself): I think your glasses had a LOT more to do with it than anything I could have done...
Dale: Ok, look, what do you want from me here? Are you EVER going to get some self esteem? Maybe saying "Yes, I like Dungeon Crawl, and tilesets are NOT for babies!" Or how about something approximating "thank you for the compliment; I suppose I AM pretty." Or how about "I don't actually care about your attempts to challenge me, because even in WoW I have better things to do than have you taunt me about how you're going to beat me." Just ONCE can you say something ASSERTIVE or SELF-RESPECTING?
Marigold: Seriously? Is this why you follow me around all the time?
Dale: Yes, and the point is, I SHOULDN'T be behaving like that, and you should call me out on it! And furthermore, I wore these glasses while complimenting you specifically because I knew you would use them as an excuse to be self-deprecating.
Marigold: I...
Dale (sighing): You're pretty, Marigold, and I'm going to leave you alone now.
