Momo on TV?
« on: 09 Dec 2011, 03:29 »

Hi All,

I was trying to find something on TV to pacify my son this morning when I stumbled across a program called "Show me show me" which features a small android character called Momo (acording to the website shortened from momobot) who features pigtails (although they are blue)

My first thought was QC, and figured it might make some of you guys smile too...  :-D

Share and enjoy
Rob

PS: I did search around to see if I could see any other mention of this but came up with nothing, apologies if I'm late to this party!

It's geoblocked unfortunately.  Or fortunately, depending on your tolerance for kids music.

Well, the name definitely made me smile; imagining our Momo dancing like that was quite amusing  :-P

Although I'm beginning to wonder why people wonder about small children being scared of ANYTHING :psyduck:

(First post yay! I should probably go introduce myself now...)

I didn't realise it was geoblocked, I guess it's kinda hard to tell such things when it's not blocked in your region!

Here's a link to YouTube maybe that'll work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7B05oUdkKY

And yes I'm not a fan and Sam didn't like it much either so it's not going to be on our list of things to watch again. There's something about the way they kids behave trying to act with CGI stuff I always find pretty creepy too.

No worse than Teletubbies.

Akronnick, I can think of no more appropriate steed for a Knight Of The Dickbroom than a foul-mouthed, perpetually shouting, lust-crazed bird with a scrotum hanging from its chin and a distinctive cry of "Gobble gobble gobble".   --Tergon

Our late cat liked Teletubbies.

No worse than Teletubbies.

I have to disagree.  That was just awful.

The difference between the two Momos is that the one on TV hasn't crossed the Uncanny Valley like our Idoru-model has.

Momo's old chassis, however, does look a lot like the UK Momo version. Except, of course, the Sony Kawaii chassis didn't have ponytails.
