This is confusing the hell out of me

Ok, so I go to type in www.questionablecontent.com into my address bar to try and get to the comic, and instead, I get taken here. 

Thinking I mistyped something, I type the QC address again, and it takes me to the same site.  No idea how or why it's happening, since I never visited that particular site before (I have no interest in CoD 3).  Has this happened to anyone else?

Browser hijack of some sort?

Of course, it might be that the comic's actual URL is http://questionablecontent.net/.

I type .com once in a while out of habit even though I know the site is .net.

Why the .com brings you to Call Of Duty is odd. :psyduck:

I bet Activision rented the domain for a while, looking to scavenge on some advertising. Not sure why they'd pick this webcomic as a target demographic though. Does anyone here even play that shit?

The QC link was in my address history for a few years, so I just opened that and clicked the site whenever I came to visit.  This week is the first time I've typed in the site address in a looooong time.

Could have just been looking at the raw numbers of how many people visit .com rather than .net per day and assume that some would have to be fans of their game.

I used to get spam with random words thrown together for the subject line, and snippets of Jane Austen in the body. It was kinda awesome.

I'd gotten stuff like that too, in the past.  It was generated by a spam-bot program that someone put together to fool several basic filters by avoiding the ultra-short messages that just have a link and certain keywords in the subject. 

Some of them used Walden, which was interesting.  You could load in any text for the program you wanted.
