Wasn't sure where to post this, figured it would be better received here.
So there's this guy at work who kind of down plays my taste in movies and TV shows in front of everyone (even though I have haven't made many recommendations) and he's suggesting seeing transformers 4 (he loved it) and says that me liking how to train your dragon 2 better than any movie this year is stupid. Totally throwing it out as a kids movie and hasn't seen it yet.
So Transformers for: 16% made $100M in opening week
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/transformers_age_of_extinction/Now admittedly I haven't seen it yet as it is largely being panned by critics that have similar movie tastes as me but will get to it when it comes out on redbox. But most reviewers pretty much said it was a garbage movie.
HTTYD2: 92% made $13M in opening week
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/how_to_train_your_dragon_2/Visual stunning, greatly written story, interesting characters, and great cinematography. Yeah not chance he'll see it.... "I'll ask my nephew" implying that its only for kids.
Shoot I'll at least try to watch T4 but don't want to waste my money watching it in theaters if its as bad as other people have said.
TL;DR:
How to train your dragon > Transformers 4. But nobody cares.
