Thanks to one of Nassault's Kerbal Space Program videos, I have discovered London Grammar and I can't get enough of them.

In my opinion, taken as a whole, Demon Days is one of the best albums. Every song is unique, it's such an excellent mix of different genres, and there's not a boring track on there.

With a glass of Jura 16 year old scotch in my hand (thanks to Paul Hodges, and see the Whisk(e)ys thread), I am listening (thanks to Akima) to my favorite Joan Baez Concert - the 1965 BBC concert.

I am listening to the new Red Molly album "The Red Album".

And it is about time that they recorded "1952 Vincent Black Lightning".

I've been listening to a lot of The Cat Empire recently. Those guys are pretty rad. So much energy in their act (particularly their first three albums)

In honor of the upcoming Cinco de Mayo, I am listening to Linda Ronstadt's Canciones de mi Padre

Of course, since it is not actually Cinco de Mayo yet, I am drinking my usual Laphroaig.  Margaritas tomorrow, Ole!

A good tune, but with lyrics that are flat out ridiculous with more than a moment's consideration.

I don't know what it is about Delain but I really, really like them. Things that dutch people do good: keep out the water and 'gothic metal'.

Anyway.

Ipod on random. Two live songs after another: suzanne by Leonard Cohen and Into the Pit by Testament. There was a brief moment there when I thought that Leonard did a very sensitive song and then threw his fedora down and started to mosh.

I would so pay for that gig.

The intro to this is rather long, but my dear friend Zach is responsible for the making of this song (and the whole goddamn brilliant album it's on), and he is only 18 years old. Guy's fucking brilliant

Having exhausted my own collection, I am wandering through YouTube watching and listening to various versions (covers, if you will) of Matty Groves and Little Musgrave

And yes, I am having some Laphroaig Triple Wood while I am doing this.

Watching Scrubs last night before bed and I came across this gem while the janitor was giving JD the "evil eye"  (Season 5, episode titled "My New God" I think).

Also... Shazam is pretty awesome (how I found out what the song was :) ).. in my experience it has about a 95% success rate of identifying the correct music :)
