I'm having a movie/game OST phase.

Here's a Spotify playlist of some of my favorites, if anyone care: https://open.spotify.com/user/extended_taste/playlist/3KpYkM5OPvqV7XKtOOpyUG

At the moment, a cool thing a pal of mine made a few years ago. Used to be available on his soundcloud, got removed for some reason (probably to free up space). Am reuploading to Youtube (he doesn't mind).
Honestly there's not much music I listen to that isn't available for free on Youtube, since I mostly listen to video game OSTs.

For some reason, The Pogues' rendition of that song is particularly poignant.

"Heroes who shed their blood and lost their lives! You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours. You, the mothers, who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well."  -- Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

New NSP video has me hooked on this song. Considering the band is called Ninja Sex Party it may be NSFW as they sing about sex alot.

The new Nightwish album, Endless Forms Most Beautiful.

There's a 24 minute epic there, "The Greates Show on Earth", that, although it drags on a bit too long, is straight out amazing!

I just really like her voice on the new album. Very dreamy and floaty. i am so not a huge prog person but this alum works mainly because of the singing.

I'm on a bit of a Nick Cave binge, currently listening to Murder Ballads.  So here's one of him and Saint Blixa

And another pleasant ditty off the same record about a child serial-killer:

Murder Ballads is by a wide margin my least favourite album of his, but it has some fookin' tunes (and apparently a bodycount of 36).

Well, no one knows how many kills she racked-up during that fire.  It's not my favourite Nick Cave record, but it is a good one.  And the days where Blixa Bargeld were in the band were probably the best.

Oh of course not, but I was basing it on Nick Cave's interviews around the subject.

It is a good one, but he only has one that I would consider close to being bad and that's Nocturama, curiously the last Blixa record if I'm not mistaken - and I disagree that his days in the band were the best. I actually think that since 2004, Cave has been in somewhat of a renaissance. As I said, he's never made a bad record, but his most recent clutch (Abattoir Blues/The Lyre Of Orpheus, Grinderman, Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!, Grinderman 2, Push The Sky Away) is the most inspired he has ever been.

I do miss the presence of Blixa, and Mick Harvey actually, there is a slight lack of guitar-y-ness that he used to have a lot more of, but honestly? I think he's better than he's ever been.

Sometimes you just need a push. I became addicted to this dubstep piece playing a knockout competition in Trackmania with a plug.dj station to go with it:

That makes me sad and it's bloody beautiful.

Also it's a minor peeve but I love how they changed the pronunciation of "chandelier" or maybe it's just clearer because it's acapella. In the original it distracts me because it sounds like, "Chan-deh-leh-ee-er" to fit the melody. Very minor nitpick.
