I never understand the lyrics of that song.

I also prefer the Lego version.

Today I was dreaming and shortly before awakening, I thought "Don't be hurt by words. Words are like things written on a banana. All it takes is a butter knife to erase them."

I will leave the interpretation as an exercise to the reader.

I had a random thought for this thread as I was cycling to work this morning, but I have equally randomly forgotten it.

I never understand the lyrics of that song.

As in, "I can't make them out" or "I don't understand what they mean"?

I can help with both...

Well, I can't make them out. I assume I would be able to understand them if they were written down somewhere, given I had no trouble with the rest of the movie. It's the singing that really throws me off.

Anyone ever get alarmingly pissed and end up fuming for possibly hours, drive aggressively back home, and feel completely at ease once you're there? I'm a little concerned at where all my rage could have gone. Maybe a tree ended up exploding without me even punching it.

So I'm in the office supply store. They carry things you are likely to need at the office. Right?

The bins next to the cash register included pepper spray.

I've worked in some toxic workplaces but none quite that bad.

Often, if someone is working late, they'll be the only one left in the parking lot - and walking to your car by yourself can be very dangerous.

Also it's like book stores that sell umbrellas. It's just one of those things people pick up on a whim.

Was sitting enjoying a coffee and had an inner monologue, was weird as it wasn't even in my voice.

Then i got bummed out as i've disconnected from my town's indie scene and can't seem to reconnect, it's like it just died out.. a pity.

The other voices in my head only respond if I call out for them. Otherwise, I just monologue.
Interestingly enough, simulated dialogue on possible conversation topics still works even if one person is doing all the talking.

Is the shuffle function on my iPod a good way to predict the future?

Yes, but the answers you get don't map to the questions you ask. For example, you might ask your iPod "Will I win the lottery?" and the answer will be "While you are up, please bring me a glass of water."

I dislike reading columns whose width (in words) is that great.  OTOH, I use a print formatter (FinePrint) that can reduce the output from any program, and commonly print documents formatted in A4 pages as A5 booklets (it's an advantage of the A-series paper sizes that such a transformation is trivial).
