So how is it pronounced? According to Google translate it's "loovenbroi", but I don't know how much to trust it.

That's korrekt. Both eu and äu are pronounced as oi. I assume that both are pronounced the same is for historical reasons. Why it is pronounced like this in the first place, I don't know.

It's simple: : løːvənbʁɔʏ
In case you don't know the IPA: I think the "broi" part is accurate. But I don't know about the "looven". It's close to the way you pronounce the "i" in bird in Received Pronunciation, just a little longer.

Americans don't have "received pronunciation".

Ours was stolen.

From a fence.

Most people claim it "fell off the truck".

And the first time I recall it being referenced in the forums, someone abbreviated it to "RP", and all I could think of was "rice pudding"...

The expanded universe contains things that are far more interesting and exciting than anything George Lucas ever made or will make. It also contains some of the worst fiction ever written.

I absolutely loved the "Republic Commando" novels from Karen Traviss. It had some great ideas (young jedi falls in love with clone elite soldier, clone troops meing shown as human, slightly individual beings, father figures to the elite units, Mandalorian culture), and I loved the ideas of the clones adopting the Mardalorian lore, which gives them some kind of identity. Also the way the Mandalorian culture was fleshed out a lot, explaining the background of Jango and Boba Fett. Sadly George Lucas was corrupted by Money and gave the then new "Clone Wars" series a higher priority, which lead to declaring the books non-canon (so the storywriters could decide more freely about Mandalorian history), so Traviss' years of work were officially invalid, which pissed her off so much, that she didn't write the final novel.

The books are still amongst my favourite novels. Oya Manda! Mando'ade kandosii!

My brother found this hotel as a possible place for us to stay for a little while in Japan. The hotel is over 1300 years old and has been in continuous ownership by the same family for 46 generations (since it opened). $350 a night.

Very understandable. I loved these novels, and would have liked to see them finished. Karen Traviss published how she would have written the book, and how she would have ended the various storylines, but that just isn't the same.

Same! I've been patiently growing it out sine September from wearing it super short for four years, and I want a ponytail so badly now. Not so much because it's warm out (Scotland is never warm), but because I forgot how much the wind wants all of my hair to be inside my mouth, especially when both of my hands are occupied carrying things.
