I just got my hair cut short. I could do a ponytail but it would be itty bitty and probably wouldn't hold back anything in the front at all. Thankfully my bangs are short again, so I don't get them in my eyes anymore.

Around here that seems to have calmed down a bit. Less dry and cold getting it static-y, too.

I love it long, so didn't like that I had to put it up this winter and "spring". Still, looked pretty okay without it framing my face, so that's nice.

Water-type Pokemon can regurgitate a seemingly endless stream of water. Putting some of it in rainclouds seems trivial then.

You know how in dreams you randomly think of something, and ten your dream changes to the topic you were thinking about, no matter how absurd? I think the Baader Meinhof Phenomenon is something like that. (Okay, I don't really think that, but let's pretend for a minute). You first hear, say, the name of some obscure disease. Then in the next few days it seems like the same name, or something vaguely related to the disease, keeps popping up in your brain.

The real fact is that these are the times your brain realizes it's not living in a real world and tries to wake up by making you double-check your sanity. It offers you the metaphorical whit rabbit to follow out of the Matrix.
Also, deja-vus in Matrix canon are a sign which tell you Agents are screwing with the world somewhere nearby.

Well, if déjŕ vu is a sign of the world changing in a way that's out of the ordinary, what does Baader Meinhof tell you that hints at the possibility this world isn't real?

I just had a Baader Meinhof occur yesterday. There was a post on the cooking thread describing how to make banana peanut butter ice cream, a combination I had never heard of before. Then I received the newsletter from my study associaton which listed a recipe for banana peanut butter wraps.

What does that meeeeaaaaaaan?

You know how in dreams you randomly think of something, and ten your dream changes to the topic you were thinking about, no matter how absurd? I think the Baader Meinhof Phenomenon is something like that. (Okay, I don't really think that, but let's pretend for a minute).

Disbelieving that this world is real isn't that absurd. If you ask me, the most important difference between the Matrix and our world is that we don't have a real-life counterpart in the world that's running the simulation.

It's really no different that when, after buying an old Saturn, I started noticing all the old saturns on the road.  It's just a matter of your brain becoming attuned to something that's always been there. 

Like PB and banana.  Elvis was known for his fondness of a PB and banana sandwich.  It's been around nearly forever, but it's just come into your consciousness, so now its frequency registers.  And it seems weird, but it's just because you were unaware of it previously.
