I'm new to your board and am just totally enamored with QC. I stumbled on it only a week ago and have read through from #1 to present in that time, reading every chance I had. Such a great story and well flushed out characters. It's amazing just how effective a basically 4 koma strip can be at developing believable  "people" with such a sparse format. I realize there is 8 years of hard, well-tought out work here, but I just accepted Marten, Faye, Dora, Hannelore, Steve, Sven, and all the others right away as they revealed their eccentricities and motivations. MOST amazing of all is that they all come out of one person's head!

Thanks for giving us a great "family" of friends to hang, laugh and cry with each week Jeph!

  • The distilled essence of Mr. James Beam himself.

Welcome!  I think it's fairly safe to say that we all feel the way you do.  Otherwise, why hang out and talk about it?

LOL! Why indeed...

I find the discussion moves very fast here, and since I can pretty much only check in in the middle of the night, I don't know how coherent or even topical I'm going to be. Maybe after a little getting used to the forum. :) Thanks Carl-E!
