I, too, was wondering about that. Without Momo to guide them Tai/Dora could easily get lost. Unless they are giving Hannelore a ride. I would  trust Hanners to read the map rather than Tai.

My wife will tell you the story of hitching a lift with her friend at university who for the whole journey had a scalpel hidden between her breasts for "security".  The knife is bigger than that, but then so is Faye bigger than the friend.

She could just as easily had some stashed away in Angus' car. But then, nothing would really surprise me about Faye.

I say "some" because a real prepared sportsman would never just carry one...

I know here in my state we use both, but the "no outlet" is usually reserved for residential areas with multiple roads in a neighborhood, but no access out of the "neighborhood" unless you get back on the road you came in on.  Dead End is usually one street that ends in a cul de sac or just ends.

And yes, I've done the same as Faye on "less then kosher" road trips.  I usually carry my Jayne Cobb bowie knife though.

Just a few random thoughts after reading the comic, and then all the posts...

1. Emily is setting a snare for Martin. Think about the beautiful children they could make, and the potential is there for discount fruit smoothies.

2. Faye is far to violent and aggresive to have been special forces in a past life. I am thinking Inquisition torture mistress.

3. Hanners in a swim suit? I think more likely Hanners in a space suit! With full detox support software in case of a tear and/or puncture.

4. The afor mentioned knives are fine examples of personal defense items, but if I am going into the woods on a dead end road, Mr. Glock is coming with

5. Tai and Dora in a car with Hanners. Hm, Hanners could drive while.... wait, never mind. I did not just almost put that in writing 

6. Mortal Kombat! QC style. My money is on Faye

7. Pintsize needs to make an appearance, I think. Maybe him and his mates hooked up feeding the party over the internet and chanting TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!

8. As they all settle around a campfire for smores and chocolates, a strange mist rolls in off the lake. A short, thin figure appears among them wearing dirty green cover-alls, holding a butchers knife and wearing a white hockey mask. As the group screams and gathers together for protection, the figure rips off the mask to reveal Sara! The stains on her clothing are dried remnents of allosaurus. She demands overtime, and Marten lovins to make things right for her dismissal from CoD.
