Completely accurate, but totally misleading...
« on: 26 Oct 2012, 16:15 »

I saw this today, on the book of faces, and I was laughing pretty hard so I thought I'd try to start a thread here.

This is the description that was in the Television guide of a newspaper for Wizard of Oz:

"Transported to a surreal landscape, a young girl kills the first person she meets, then joins three strangers to go kill again."

I've seen others, and as I can find them, I'll post here.  Anyone else, feel free to join in.

Classic!

Les Miz (the movie) is coming out soon (and looks fabulous!), and all I could think of was one wit's comment about the original...

Harry Potter?

I have two;

"A bewildered teenage boy fends off his mother's disturbing and unnatural attraction to him."
And
"An employee at a garbage dump abandons his job to pursue a woman he's just met."

At first, I thought "Oedipus Rex", but then I realized you forgot "AT 88 MILES PER HOUR!"

Not a film, but...

Riverdance. And you could have made it a little more difficult if you didn't say Irish.

The correct answer is every James Bond film. Seriously the amount of people that guy murders (and thats what he does O_o) is staggering.

Argh that chart made me so mad I registered on The Economist so I could tell them so. One, don't call it "over the years" and then not put it in chronological order. Two, why are you stacking the bars; they do not add up to anything.
