Portland Bound.
« on: 01 Nov 2012, 16:22 »

Hello Questionable people,
I am not a currently a common poster on these forums, mostly due to not having much to say. However, something has come up and I am forced to say something. This month it is my birthday! My 21st Birthday. So I am going down to Portland to enjoy the riches of the Americas in the best of fashion.

Now, I will admit outside of the Vacation sites and Portlandia, I don't know much about Portland and what to do there.
Anything ideas of what to do there, where to stay, where to eat would be amazingly appreciated.

We'll be 5 people driving down in a Jeep.

I had to look up Portlandia, which suggested Oregon.

Driving down implies you're from north of Portland, to me. Are you?

I'm guessing he's from Canadia, by how his post is worded.

Powell books is a good call, I also read something about theaters with alcohol served at them, which is Illegal in my city.

There's something involving alcohol that's illegal in Canada?

Yea,
I live in No Fun City where it's illegal to server alcohol past 2am, to have alcohol served in the same place that plays movies, or served in the same place where children's toys are present (Video game consoles included).

I'm sure there's a few others I forgot.

So you can't give someone an alcoholic drink in your own home, or is it different for private stuff?

Ooh, I've been there a few times (I live near Seattle). I'd def check out the Rose Garden area if I were you. As for where to eat, there's a restaurant connected to the Crystal Ballroom venue downtown that's really awesome. I think the restaurant itself may be named Crystal Ballroom, but I'm not sure. Have funs!

I just realised I've lived within driving distance of Portland for a year and I've never visited it.  :psyduck:
