Hello, I am bored after writing essays all day, so I figured the best thing would be to type some more.
I am a 26 year old trans woman who was drawn to the boards by the latest story line. I've been reading QC since before Faye/Marten happened, but I've never been one for message boards. The recent events in the story and the reaction on twitter prompted me to see what the reaction was myself, so I figure I will stick around to field some questions if anybody has them.
I love video games (the hardest ones, like Meat Boy and Dark Souls), guitars (a loyal Dean Vendetta and a sick Ibanez bass), drawing (despite my inept scribbles), reading (William Gibson!) and TKD (Tae Kwon Do). I'm a butcher and full time student, and I am learning to code on the side (To The Moon and Dys4ia inspired me to try my hand at similar ventures). I am a psych major focusing on abnormal and gender psychology, so no surprise there. I also do volunteer work for whatever political party has my attention at the time, and often do pickup volunteer service for LGBT groups operating in the area. That really just means dispensing information through various outlets and fetching coffee for the group at the office.
More than anything I advocate introspection and understanding yourself. If you can dissect your own thought processes you can better communicate with others.
