Champagne + orange juice = mimosa

Vodka + orange juice = screwdriver

We used to call a screwdriver made with grapefruit juice instead of orange a "left-handed screwdriver".  Cranberry juice and vodka is a Cape Codder.  Actually, I think cranberry and champagne has a different name than mimosa...

We're never going to get an explanation for the hockey mask are we?

Always a good way to start the day, with a nice bit of OJ - I can take or leave the wine part of the mimosa.

I was still wondering about that too, it was probably played off as a practical joke.  Faye would then have to explain her weapon though...

Wonder how many stations she can pull in with that rig?

OK, seriously, just worked it out the details. Emily in the last panel, accepting the mimosa, looks more like Emily. Smiling, chin is finer and eyes are larger in relation to the rest of the face. In the preceding panels, eyes are smaller, chin is not as fine; distracted-serious (or pained, take your pick) expression; looks like a slightly-east Asian Dora.

Get back to work, DSL.

Vodka and wheatgrass juice is called a lawnmower.
Cranberry juice and vodka is a Cape Codder.
I honestly didn't know that had a name, I've only heard it referred to as a "vodka cranberry", and maybe it's a New York/New Jersey thing, but it's pretty much the female equivalent of a Jack and Coke.  In other words, a default mixed drink.  (Not to say only males or females enjoy either, just what I've observed in my several years of imbibing)

Always thought you just called it a Cape Cod.

Mind I usually just call it a 'vodka and cranberry' when ordering it, so...yeah. I'm not good at drinks!

Anyone can order a drink awkwardly...you just have to awesome-ize it yourself.

For example: "I'll have three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel."

Seabreeze is an astringent facial cleanser...

And it tastes awful... Wikipedia says that the seabreeze drink has both cranberry and grapefruit juice

It also confirms Cape Codder as the name of vodka and cranberry juice, but it's wikipedia, so take it for what it's worth to ya...

Depending on how completionist she's being, Marigold could bang out a FFVI speed run in that afternoon.  It wouldn't be very fun though as you'd be missing people in the World of Ruin and tons of content but I'm guessing she's already put Kefka down a few times in the 90s.

Great song I discovered about Kefka : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5ADPB5NrZw

I agree with you.

If one check the completion time on all these FFVI reviews (http://www.rpgamer.com/pointsofview/archive/archive.cgi?mode=view_game&game=108), the quickest completes it in approx. 20 hours, others between 30 and 50 hours, and some others, way beyond that.

I doubt Tai left without Dora or Steve without Cosette, and we've seen Gabby last strip, that would leave with Hanners, who likely left the same way she came, and Claire and Clinton.

I wonder what Emily's parents would say of her hair.

You think so? I think Emily and her mother look very alike with the same basic face-shape. Both parents have what Jeph has obviously decided is his way of drawing "Asian" eyes, although they are slightly obscured by their spectacles. Dad's face is a bit long and narrow, but Jeph draws all guys like that.

I have never played a FF game, and initially I read Marigold's opponent as Kafka...

All things considered, Emily's parents are reacting rather well to finding a strange woman sitting on their floor playing video games while their daughter is passed out on a couch with her hair hacked off.

All I can think is that the party probably isn't the first time Emily's greeted someone wearing a serial killer mask... her poor parents.

Should they be able to see Emily from the way she's passed out on the couch? If not, I'm wondering if it's possible they're not her parents, but the actual owners of the house she broke into and claimed for the party. And the mentioned daughter is just some other girl. Highly doubtful, but the thought amuses me.

She took down the pictures of the other daughter and put hers up temporarily. Making sure to eliminate any evidence of her NOT being associated with that house would be first priority (after getting into said house, of course).

Which brings me to why she was prepped and ready to murder someone: she was planning to murder the owners if they showed up early!
