I voted for the algae. Faye and Angus are due for a little indignity. Also, Marten not being able to remember what he was going to say about Faye in the be-nice game, driving the Peach nuts.

Still waiting for the psycho serial killer to come out of the woodwork and hunt everyone one by one, leaving Hanners as the Final Girl. (She could never be the killer, it'd be far too messy)

Hung-over, short-haired Emily looks older. Even with that rabbit-ears cowlick.

One might say, drawn.

Hmm, hungover Emily seems far saner than regular Emily (at least until the final panel). I think it's mainly the very slightly different way Jeph drew her.

EDIT: I agree with DSL, she does look older.

I'm not sure what you won there, but you won it pretty hard.

Yes, Emily looks less Luna Lovegood-ish. Could be just an art change with no Deep Meaning, but it's fun to speculate that the strangeness is a defense mechanism that get dropped when she's off guard.

"A Mimosa is a cocktail-like drink composed of one part champagne (or other sparkling wine) and one part thoroughly chilled citrus fruit juice, usually orange juice unless otherwise specified (e.g., "grapefruit [juice] mimosa"). It is traditionally served in a tall champagne flute with a morning brunch as hair of the dog or to guests at weddings."

I had never heard of a Mimosa, except in a botanical sense, but Wikipedia to the rescue! You have all donated, yes?

To what episode of Azumanga Daioh is the reference? And, which panel contains the reference?

I know the anime but I don't recognize a specific scene from it.

Emily's pose in the first panel is Nyamo's (Kurosawa-sensei's) from p324 of the omnibus edition of the manga (the last page of volume 2 of the four-volume version, I think), when she has a hangover after drinking all the sake to prevent Yukari from getting drunk.  You see it roughly at 2:15 in this clip (referenced earlier), but the manga is the true source.  The comic title is Japanese for I have a headache or hangover ("my head hurts").

I don't know Japanese; but the only source I can find for that meaning is About.com.  All others give the meanings I gave, e.g. here, here, here.

Dang you're fast! yeah, I was about to give the original source as I remembered this panel quite clearly. What was even funnier was Chiyo and the girls getting lectured on the birds and the bees the night before from a drunken Nyamo and the looks on their faces after. Priceless.  :-D

OK, well in 8-ball any call of a ball-pocket combo must be heard by the opponent.  Calls are optional except for the 8-ball.  If a call is missed, it's a scratch.

...and I don't even know if you do calls in 9-ball.

It's been a while since I played (as punchbag for my brother, who plays competition pool), but IIRC you do not do calls in 9-ball. As long as some ball (not the cue ball, obviously) is potted somewhere, you may continue. I don't think the 9-ball must be called either.

And about the comic: It seems I am in a minority here, but I liked Emily better with long hair. And is it just me, or is her hair even shorter today than when she cut it off?
