Discovered QC on Dec 27th, 2012, via a link from xkcd, and finished reading from strip #1 to #2353 on 2013's New Year's Day. Going from like 70 strips per hour down to five strips per week feels like hitting a solid wall at full throttle. So I guess that's why I got institutionalized here.

English is not my first language (German is) so please bear with me if I'm going to ask a few dumb questions about slang words or expressions in the future. You simply cannot just look them up in a dictionary, especially those relating to, uh, reproduction or metabolism

Let me call attention to another resource at your disposal: You'll find that Urban Dictionary will be useful at decoding some of the slang terms. Others may welcome you here, but we are all under strict orders not to provide any physical assistance. We expect you'll be released after another 2 or 3 archive binges, after which it's expected you'll have begun to integrate the QC-verse with the one you left. And good luck!
