We are running 10 degrees above average this week. Today's high is 81F! Unfortunately that means my old nemesis, tree pollen, is back. This was me in April two years ago, after taking several Claratin...

It's been hot as fuck this week but apparently it should cool down this weekend... and possibly rain. As much as I love rain, it will make our weekend plans slightly more difficult.

So it snowed last week, was in the 40's Sunday, the 50's Monday, the 70's Tuesday, and it hit 82 (28 C) today.  As I was driving home in the heat of the afternoon, I saw small clumps of snow on the south side of the mountain under the trees, brilliant white in the summer sun.

I think we skipped spring.  Now it's tunderestorms.

If the weather here is any indication of what you're going to get in a couple days, enjoy that 82 while you can. Today the high here was 36 (2 C).

Only a couple daaaaaaays

Also my pets are definitely feeling the heat. The apartment management has decided that the heat has to stay on until May 15th, and then they will do the switch to AC, but it will take a week or so. This is part of why I'm moving, to a basement room with central air, the first week of May.

Snow last night.

Cold and wet this morning, leading to interesting drive around town.

Rain and snow in forecast next several nights.

Maybe we'll have a nice spring day in... June?

Unfortunately, I can't stand them. Weather conditions in general give me headaches and cause pain in my eyes, which my coworkers assert as a sinus reaction. I get headaches from thunderstorms, lethargy from rain, and varying feverishness from blizzards.
...
Why the hell am I still in Michigan? XD

We're in an odd situation here right now, because we've had 3 days of rain that included a thunderstorm yesterday, but the temperature's in the mid to low 30's, meaning the forecasts keep predicting snow and ice.

Too fucking warm here. And too suddenly. We had temperatures below freezing on Saturday night, today we had 19°C (66°F)…

Well, and if we can believe the weather forecast, we're going to have temperatures near freezing again on Friday.

I'm sure I already mentioned my aversion to warm weather. I'm fucking sweating all the time. Especially when riding my bike. I want it to be winter again. I need to move north. Maybe some place in Norway? Or Iceland?

Here we've practically skipped spring and moved on to summer directly. But as I said, it's going to be less warm soon. But even this short period was enough to make me feel bad about the coming summer.

The NWS has updated their forecast, and I'm currently on the eastern edge of the region they have marked "Greatest Tornado Threat"...

And they updated it again while I was typing this, and moved the boundary further east so now I'm well inside the "greatest tornado threat" area...

The sun has actually decided to come out as of late.

Unfortunately, there is rain in the forecast for most of the rest of this week.

The Wisconsin River is currently at levels I haven't seen in quite some time, at least not since moving up here.

First tornado sirens of the year, but no tornadoes. I'm fine with that.

edit -- and I learned tonight there is a town in Oklahoma called Cookietown. It got hit by a tornado.

That's....depressing.

There's a village in Connecticut called Happyland. I kid you not. I've driven through it a couple of times. I think the Town Council in Preston (the town that Happyland is a part of) decided to call it that to balance against the actual content of the village...because that place is a SHITHOLE.

It's the modern-day equivalent of Erik the Red's viral marketing strategy: "We'll name it 'Greenland' so people will want to live there."

I'd suggest saying hi, but A. I'm stupid new to this forum and B. Denver's a 45 minute drive C. Thursday is my "I don't get to leave school till 2300" day.

However the good news is Thursday should be a nice day!

also i'm only going to be in denver for an hour anyhow, and then it's another ten hours to finish the trip off to salt lake city.

Snow is in the forecast for tonight, but it may (MAY) end up being just wet stuff that will melt shortly thereafter.

I am a bit concerned, as the Wisconsin River near my house is at noticeably high levels. There are some islands in a bend of the river, and many of them have water levels that are coming close to topping over them.
