Indefinite leave of absence
« on: 17 Feb 2015, 13:46 »

Due to recent events, which have led me to believe that the majority of this forum's social structure has become slightly toxic, I will no longer be participating. This isn't intended to be a permanent solution, but I guess it's up to the folks who would polarize and pick sides whether or not they want that to be the way things are handled from here on out.

I still have a great deal of love for you all as individuals. I bear no ill will. I just don't feel like this is a place I belong anymore. And I'm fairly certain I participate sporadically enough to where nobody will actually miss me much anyway.

Best of wishes to you all.

Dang.

Sorry to hear that Patrick, I hope we will see you back here again at some time in the future.

Meantime, take care, and hope all goes well for you  :)

See you around, I guess. We didn't directly interact much, but I enjoyed seeing your posts.

Can we persuade you to stick around in the upper forums?

I've enjoyed what I've seen of your posts, but I can't say that I disagree with the decision (or the reasoning behind it).

Please PM me and fill me in. It's not supposed to be even slightly toxic here.

What I meant was the QC Forums as a whole. I may stick around in BAND and the beer and whisky threads, but I don't like the potential for drama that the more personal forums/threads have been displaying themselves to be capable of. Even less do I like the way it seemed to split people off into factions.

IICIH, I don't hold you even remotely responsible for this, so I'm not gonna really even bother with a PM. This is a problem that leaked out into places you have no power over, and it made me wonder what some people might say about ~me~ when ~my~ back is turned.

I'm sad it has come to this. I really am. But I can understand your reasons. Take care! And maybe come back!

Those two sharks are the closest they'll get to a championship game.
