Hi there.
« on: 27 Mar 2013, 05:04 »

Hi folks!

Since I'm new here I figured I'd introduce myself.
My name is Daniel, 21 years old and I'm from the lovely country of Germany. I discovered QC not too long ago (I think the wedding storyline had just started) and then read the entire comic in a weekend. Yes, I read over 2000 comic strips in one weekend. I'm weird like that.
Anyways, I decided to join the forum because... I dunno actually, boredom I guess. Also I enjoy talking about QC.

That being said I'm sure we'll all have a wonderful time together. ALL HAIL THE THUMBLORD!

Maybe we can find some middleground by hailing SKULLMASTER, MASTER OF SKULLS?

And thanks. :)

Hi!

I know this may be confirmation bias, but by now I feel us Germans are the most-represented nationality here (apart from those natively speaking English of course (that is, US-Americans, Britons and Ozeanians)).

Definitely confirmation bias. And even if, us Germans have so little national self esteem that I already want to mention that I'm part Turkish as well.

It kinda works both ways. When Germans hung up their national flag when the UEFA world cup was in Germany, a lot of people harkened back to the third reich times.
All I can say is that I don't care if you like your nationality, but I think love of nation is similar to love of religion - unnecessary if you have a strong enough identity. To people who ask me what I am (because in Germany, the question of nationality is literally "what are you"), I generally answer with "I'm human".

See, I get what the thing with the spoon was supposed to mean in the Matrix movie, but I think it's wrongly worded. Of course there is a spoon in a way! What am I trying to bend if there is no spoon?

Greetings fellow German. (Not really, I'm only 1/8 German, but I figured it would make you feel more at ease. Don't read this part.)

Enjoy the steak...I hear they're Pittsburgh-rare this time of year.
