This always leaves a lump in my throat if I listen to it rather than just having play while I do other things.

Oddly enough, Pixar included that song in the movie CARS.  It's a perfect fit.  Especially if you've ever driven parts of Rte 66.

Melancholy is what my band, The Riveras, does.  We have a cellist and violinist, and our vocalist just naturally has a sad quality to her voice.  Here's a link to the two albums we've put out-

Next time I do an "all sads" playlist for Rawk and Indie, I'll pepper it with Riveras songs  :mrgreen:
