Mafia 9 - The Star Scroll
« on: 01 May 2013, 12:29 »

Far off in the great western island of Dorval, a strange finding has been uncovered. Written in the old language, its discoverers deciphered enough to send it post-haste to Goddess Keep and the Sunrunners who have mastery over light, wind, and fire. Great and terrible knowledge lurks within this document, power enough to bring the world to its knees. At Goddess Keep,  this dangerous thing receives a name by its keepers: the Star Scroll.

Though it has been hidden and general knowledge of it has been suppressed, something lurks the halls of Goddess Keep, eager to seize the Star Scroll and its secrets. These are the ancient enemies of the Sunrunners, the diarmadh'im. They have infiltrated the Sunrunners and seek to take power over the lands once again. Should they eliminate those who know of their existence and gain the Star Scroll, they will turn the Sunrunners into their tool to once again take power.

Will the Goddess stand by the Sunrunners or shall the Nameless One of the diarmadh'im once again stand highest?

Rules:
01. Days will last for 48 hours or a player receives more votes than half the number of players still alive to get lynched
02. Nights will last for 24 hours. Roles which require PMing the GM have to do so by this time frame else they don't use their action. Should you have a role with an action you wish not to use, simply have "ABSTAIN" as the title for the PM.
03. Roles of people who die will be revealed.
04. Posting is allowed in the night as well as the day.
05. Once a player posts in this thread, that post cannot be edited or deleted.
06. Lynch votes should be in bold, in color, and at the bottom of the post.
07. The player with the majority (one more than half the living players) get lynched and the day ends. Should the the day end before a majority is reached, the player with the most votes will get lynched. A minimum of two votes is necessary for a person to get lynched. In the case that there is a tie in the most votes, the day will end with no lynched occurring.
08. Dead men tell no tales (no dead players can post in the game thread or talk about the knowledge they gained from playing the game)
09. There is a chance that a player attacked in the night will take his attacker with him or escape his assault. Unless instructed otherwise, this chance is 10%.
10. Anyone in this game can kill another player at anytime. However, if you are not a sorcerer, your misdeed will be discovered in short order, and if that person was innocent, you will automatically be the person lynched that day.

*hums a tune aimlessly as she does the sweeping up*

What seems to be a big cooking pot on legs comes into view. From behind it comes a voice:

I would join you in a spontaneous complicated choreography, but *huffs* that's kinda hard to do in my position.

The man sets the pot down and swipes some sweat from his forehead. His appearance is that of a fat cook, complete with the appropriate hat and apron.

We all have our burdens to bear, don't we? They *points at the closest building where Sunrunners might be located* have theirs and I have mine.

He laughs loudly about his own wit.

Anyway, I gotta move on. This pea soup has to get somewhere.

Ahem. *lowers voice* I am not sure if you want to be seen where I am carrying this. There are some... ladies... and probably lads... which need to eat well after - or at this time of the day, rather before - work *winks*

Loki's face becomes serious.

Thanks for the warning. I shall heed it. Take care.

He picks up the pot and hurries down the road without noticing he is spilling quite a bit of the soup in the process. Soon there is nothing left of his presence, except the prominent smell of pea soup.
