They stare wide-eyed into the distance for another long moment before their gaze settles on TheEvilDog - or, the very least, some three inches behind his skull. They grin, perhaps - they bare their teeth anyhow, lips pulling back in some sort of uncomfortable rictus before they launch themselves at TheEvilDog, clawing wildly at them, tearing at their face and chest with wild abandon, grinning all the while.

Unicorn seizes up as they're bopped on the head and instantly collapses into a small puddle of crazy on the ground, wrapping their arms around their legs and pulling their knees to the chest.

"No. Bad. Crazy. Crazy. Bad. Crazy. Craaaaaaaazy. Listen to me. Listen. Listen. Bad. Bad."

They pause for a long moment before tilting their head back and looking Loki directly in the eye, slowly opening their mouth, and bleating like a sheep.

"...Baaaaaaaa!"

Unicorn slowly closes their mouth, looking up at Loki with an expression that slowly fades to something almost melancholy, tongue caught between their teeth as their gaze slowly slips to look at the ground. A moment more, and they suddenly lean up, licking Loki's nose tip to bridge very wetly before finding their way to their feet and sprinting off without a further word.

It was a night of storm and fire.

It seemed that no one at Goddess Keep had even the slightest intent of conducting themselves in a rational manner. The power to ride the sunlight and call fire had apparently gone to the heads of certain individuals. Or perhaps they were simply more vulnerable to the fear of the unknown?

Daylight brought the smell of charred flesh and the sight of horrid revelation. TheEvilDog, Lord of Goddess Keep, had been struck down from behind! However, before his death, it seems the ruler of Goddess Keep had fought with another assassin. After some effort, it was decided that Loki was the one who had been so foolish as to try a frontal assault on the strongest Sunrunner. A search of his possessions revealed him to be none other than a vile diarmadh'im!

Quote
TheEvilDog, you are the Lord of Goddess Keep. You rule the Sunrunners and lead the efforts to end the diarmadh'im threat within your walls. Once a night, you may PM Black Sword with the title being 'Protect [USER]' with [USER] being a living player in the game. That person is under your protection and will not die. That person cannot be you. Additionally, should one of your Sunrunners attempt to kill you, you will strike them down yourself, reminding everyone of your status as Lord of Goddess Keep. However, should a diarmadh'im be your attacker, you will die.

Elsewhere, ChaoSera was discovered missing. Linds had murdered her in the night. It was quickly clear ChaoSera had been innocent of wrongdoing. Linds quickly joined ChaoSera in death.

Their numbers diminished, the remaining Sunrunners gathered to discuss what to do next.

WILL YOU PLEASE STOP THIS MADNESS! I TOLD YOU CHAOSERA WAS INNOCENT!

And since it was MtMerrick who suggested lynching him first,
I suppose MtMerrick should follow ChaoSera to death.

If you have to say something, say it to my face instead of acting all purposely vague. We all know what's going to happen: you and your diarmadh'im friends are going to shift the attention on me and how I was acting suspicious the whole time and lull the good townspeople to your twisted side, but let it be known that I, Masterpiece, told you all what was going to happen.

I. Am. Innocent.

Four deaths in one night! Three of them innocents!

"Linds. ChaoSera. Five. No. Four. Fivenofournofive. Loki. TheEvilDog. Five. No fourfivefour. Four." Unicorn nods to themselves, pacing back and forth, murmuring to themselves before turning and pointing at J and calmly announcing,

"Him."

"I choose him."

"Lynch J."

They shake their head.

"It's you. You are, you are one of them, them, you are them. I see you." Unicorn slowly steps towards him, shaking their head faintly back and forth, not breaking eye contact with him all the while. "It is you. You are. The diarmadh'im. You. You. You."

"You die."

"Die."

Tempers were strained. Accusations flew, with the first momentum toward a group decision, the first time such a thing had happened since the start. However, in a blaze of fury, J set fire to Unicorn, murdering his fellow Sunrunner without compassion in a fit of pique. The survivors turned on J, executing him not only for killing, but killing the wrong person.

In the end, the last Sunrunner knew he was alone. He knew that the other two with him could only be the ancient enemy. Still, they only smiled at him. When Masterpiece went to bed that night, he knew it would be his last. When the door creaked, he did not react, did not attempt to fight back. He was a dead man, but he would at least die with dignity.

The diarmadh'im win!

It was pretty much over once the bad guys killed Masterpiece. I figured that just this once, Gareth's fate could be left ambiguous enough that he could say he survived a game.

Unless he really wants me to kill him, that's fine too.
