As far as I know, yes, it's just another word for urine.

Piddle puddle!

As a verb, the older meaning is "to busy oneself with trifling matters", possibly from the Low German word piddeln.  I might, for instance, "piddle around" instead of getting on with something more important (and this is a phrase I would actually use without self-consciousness).  In the senses "to urinate, urine", it's possibly formed from a combination of pee, piss and puddle.

I think I might finally have settled on the idea for my first tattoo. It's gonna be big, but I think I'll like it. Now I need somebody who could draw me a rough first version, because I wanna be able to look at it before paying a tattoo artist to draw the actual design. Anybody feel up for helping me out with that?

ChaoSera: Just go directly to a tattoo artist with your idea, they know what they're doing much better than some random friend with decent or good drawing skills. The difference between drawing with a pencil on paper and a needle on skin is so different it's really hard to imagine for someone with no tattooing experience what's possible to do or not. Also, what looks awesome on paper might not translate well as a tattoo. I drew up a tattoo sketch for a friend once, when she took it to her tattoo artist he had to completely redraw it anyway.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/16/magazine/the-existential-anguish-of-the-tattoo.html?_r=0

I have some issues with this article, namely that the author thinks bias against tattoos is gone, but in general I think his premise is off, and that this is more a scrawl against bad tattoos (which totally exist) and the culture that encourages you going and picking something off the wall at random instead of putting your heart in to it and coming up with a design that means something to you.. I just don't think the author himself gets that.

My tattoo is finally almost healed (it had a spot that scabbed over and got nasty) so I'm thinking about my next one. I don't know what I want next!

It can go as fast or as slow as you'd like. I do prefer to wait until one is healed before getting another, though. And yes, I'd run out of skin very quickly that way. But I know I'll run out of ideas long before I run out of skin.

Yeah, it largely depends on how quickly you want to get things done, the resources you need to do it (time, money etc...) and the ideas you have.

I've been planning my tree for about a year but it's only been in the last few months (since I finished my sleeves) that it became a real option. I don't like having multiple unfinished projects and also I've been saving for it. I also find it's best to wait for one thing to heal before starting something else because I think the body is able to heal everything more efficiently one piece at a time.

Exactly.

I am also running out of places to pierce. Which means I will probably have to move on to tattoos to satisfy my craving for body modification, at least until I can get my tongue split.

I used to get one tattoo every year. Then I had to start saving money for other things and the tattoo fund quickly ran out. I have 10-15 ideas, so that's not much of an issue (yet). My problem is that I'll run out of money before I run out of real estate. :-P

Probably just an ink smudge or sharpie or something. Pretty standard but I've never seen a tattooist use a black sharpie before.

Ink smudge. I wiped it off after I took the photo.

I've never seen a tattooist use a black sharpie either, Laura used a purple one to put the lines for the runes in.

I think it's probably because using a bright colour makes it easier to differentiate between sharpie guides and actual tattoos. My artist uses orange.

Yep! That's the exact reason. If you're using it as a guide for line art you need to differentiate between any ink you have down, and any tracings you have down which is usually a blue color.
