Here comes the paddle
« on: 04 Jun 2013, 18:04 »

Greetings, everyone!  My name is Squeaky.  I've been reading the comic for a couple months and have already introduced several friends to it.  I don't really have much to say here, but I really look forward to doing some hardcore posting and whatnot.  I'm not really much of a talker, but I'm hoping I can come out of my shell a bit here.  This seems to be one of the better forums I've visited, so I imagine the atmosphere will help coax me into posting a bit more frequently than usual.  I look forward to a grand future in the forums!

(The letter i is really starting to get on my nerves.)

Welcome! You should like it here, other than a little unpleasantness with lug wrenches, against which a paddle is no defense at all. Tell us a little more about yourself, if you care to.

I suppose I could share some more information.  I'm just finishing up my junior year in high school (oh crap another young one), and I have no immediate plans for the summer aside from some college prep stuff.  I've got a bit of a musical background in that I play trumpet (not extremely well, however), know a bit about music in general, and play Guitar Hero excessively (not sure if that counts).  Also, I'm a pale, redheaded guy.

Su cuy'gar ner vod!

Normally we have a different ceremony (involving lug wrenches), but as you called for it we can do in addition:

:D well there's an avatar for you right there. Personally I'd mirror it though.

I don't know why, but I also like it better when the avatar is looking in the direction of the post. Mine is mirrored as well.

Mine is arranged so that the wind blows directly on the posting.

EDIT: Nope.

I never thought about mirroring mine. I suppose there's something to be said about the wind blowing directly on the posting, but that would be tasteless here.

I haven't mirrored any of mine; but then I also use them on another forum where the avatars are displayed on the right!
