I've never done it myself but I LOVE COSPLAY and would read the shit out of that thread.

Same here!!! I have done one major (though rather easy) cosplay so far and it was a ton of fun and I can't wait until I can have the time to make some danged costumes.

Should it go in MAKE? Lots of people buy their garb instead of making it ...

EDIT: So do you pick what you wear based on how you want to feel? There's a recent study which claims that people in suits think better than people in jeans and t-shirts, something so radically different from my years of experience in software it is hard to credit.

EDIT: There's quite a bit of material (no pun intended) about making short fat men look good in Alan Flusser's _Dressing the Man_. Interestingly, in view of discussion above, he has good things to say about starting with a double-breasted suit. The best-reviewed local tailor shop says that for everyday wear, a Kingsman suit is not timeless, just outdated.

All my bags are on the small side, and I need a bigger one for when I start job hunting and eventually/possibly/hopefully get a job. I found a bag I like a lot, but I can't decide on the colour! Black works with everything, but I don't know if I'll like it all year round since I never feel like wearing black in the summer. I'm really liking the forest green one and it's a great colour for all seasons, but my winter coat is dark red + black and I don't know how well the green will go with it. Thoughts?

Edit: Here's the coat I have, will the green bag go well with it? Yay or nay:

I'd get the black. It would look much better with the coat, and black is generally versatile. You can always wear a red or blue or white dress in summer. :)

I like black better as well. The green is pretty and you could always get it later to switch things out. But if you are just buying one then the black gives you more options and goes with more things.

Yeah I think you're right, I dunno what my hangup with no black in summer is, I see people wearing black in summer all the time and it looks fine. The green is lovely but everything I have is so colorful and the black is definitely more versatile. Thanks!
