You know, that comic had more "feels" than the last one, that was advertised as having feels.

Calling it right now: May seeks Dale out on her release from Robot Jail.

What is it with Jeph and German phrases? I've noticed him using them multiple times now. (Though the reason he used them with Ellen Allien was pretty obvious)

AENGF: Auf Wiedersehen is the most common German term for goodbye. It doesn't necessarily mean "See you later". On the other hand, when we know that a farewell is likely to be final, we often use "Lebwohl!" (which translates to "Have a good life"), so this comic doesn't need to be final.

There's segments of American culture where a few German phrases have snuck in to normal English speech. Auf wiedersehen is one of them.

Another example, when someone wants to use a secular response to someone sneezing, "gesundheit" is the typical choice. (The default is "bless you", or sometimes extended to "God bless you" (mainly when the person being addressed is having a sneezing fit, and therefore the blessing needs to be emphasized).)

Okay, that one had me feeling "The Feels".

Can't help but wonder what will become of May. Having invested so much in her development, I doubt Jeph will cast her aside for too long.

Word for word, "auf Wiedersehen" means "to see you again", same as the French "au revoir".

Consider that maybe Dale was the first one ever to treat May as something other than a "dumb machine."  May's positive response could just be that she's being treated well for a change.  Dale may be no fighter plane, but he is a respectful and nice guy!

This one definitely had more Feels than Friday's. Though May might be having "I'll be good" syndrome - the tendency for hardcore criminals to start acting better as they get closer to their parole hearing, especially if they think they'll get a release from it.

Both are quite common in the UK as well, and have been for quite a while (cf the comedy drama Auf Wiedersehen Pet which started  in the 80s).

The wolf is saying "Morning, Sam" and the sheepdog is saying "Morning, Ralph", yes. God, it's been so long since Saturday morning Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Show... *wistful smile*

(Anyone else ever find it odd that this "wolf" looks exactly like Wile E. Coyote? Someone at Warner Bros. was a tad unclear on the differences between wolves & coyotes, IMHO.)

No no, they don't look exactly alike, Wile E. Coyote has yellow eyes and a black nose, while Ralph Wolf has white eyes and a red nose!

Quite possibly she really had no name, if she was working in a semi-anonymous role somewhere in the middle of a transaction chain. Overseeing credit card transactions for fraud/ID theft for example.
