Best novels about time-traveling?
« on: 03 Oct 2013, 04:03 »

Wotcher :o

I've recently gotten hooked on Continuum and would like recommendations for awesome not-too-depressing novels that explore scenarios where humanity develops the ability to travel back and forth through time. The only time-travel themed novels I've read recently are To Say Nothing of the Dog and Timeline.

Sequence by Adrian Dawson. Time travel doesn't appear until about halfway but it turns the entire book on its head. Amazing book. 300 pages of setup and then 250 pages of cascading amazingness. You can get it as an ebook and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Well, I've got my own favorite, but modesty forbids me to mention it.

I enjoyed FLASH FORWARD the book a lot more than I did the TV series, though the series got me interested in reading it in the first place.

I like stuff by Harry Turtledove.
"Guns of the South" is an interesting exploration of 'What if...'
